    HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA

Every point guard in the league has it way against DALLAS. That selfish boner thought he was actually a super star. Its all about Duncan! Not that side show. Let him shoot, let him drive. My God, the Spews just ran down the court with him knowing they would not get a shot with him at point. The guy is not a star.

Worst poster on ST bar none, with another gem of an inarticulate, inane and nonsensical post.

The Spurs got 43 from Parker, 25/10 from Duncan, the Mavs shot under 40% as a team, and Dirk/Jet combined went 7-26 from the floor. How in the did you guys lose this game??????? If you told me that before the game, I would've said a Spurs blowout.

The offensive role players went 2-for-21 and the Spurs got destroyed on the boards.

Give the Mavs some credit in the second half for doing a much better job on Parker -- we still can't stop him, but he was "contained" in the second half. We did a much better job of denying him the ball, trapping him when he got it and not getting the same looks. It cost us on the 3-ball though, since Hill had two, Bowen had one and you guys had better looks from behind the arc.

I also thought Hollins did a great job when Damp went out with foul trouble. We've been able to get away with not sending a double at Duncan.

Because when Tony goes to the bench, the team production takes a complete nose dive. Players out of position, don't know what we're trying to run. You couldn't even say they didn't execute, because I don't even see Mason calling a play.
And to compound the problem, the coach decides that Matt Bonner is going to be the go to guy in the clutch with the season on the line...

I dunno dude... Best PG in the world has to get more than 3 assists...

He had a great scoring half though.

How would you expect assists when most of his teammates went 0-for-something?

How the he'd get assists playing with Mason, Bonner, Udoka, Finley...

If guys can't make shots your PG doesn't get assists

and i can remember at least three-four times where he fed tim for an easy layup and tim was fouled (that's credited as an assist in europe).

I wasn't watching for it in particular, but I don't remember TP hitting tons of open guys who missed their shots...

He did. They kept clanking. He got 3 quick assists to Tim in the first half but no one else was making anything when he passed it out to the perimeter.

The Spurs like TP shooting 25+ times per game in the postseason (depending on the opponent). This year, that's more true than ever, but he did a good job dishing out too. His teammates just didn't come to play.

you're not totally wrong. he was more in scoring mode tonight. he fed a lot tim (resulting in FT) but wasn't assisting too much outside shooters (three or four pass for open shooters who missed i think).

but if tony sees the rim on his drive, he usually goes for the layup, not for the outside assist.

Agreed, i watched as he effortlessly dissected the mavs defense over and over again. The scary part is that he is only in his early 20s.
