i guess carney is going to be the 2009 version of kirk snyder. didnt know why people were all over snyder, and i dont get carney much either.

sub 43% shooter, 35% from 3 at best, doesnt rebound, ast/to ratio below 1. on an udoka type deal, sure. not worth banking any cash on.

I love him for the LLE. He made some strides last year. I watched him quite a bit thanks to NBA League Pass. If Finley declines his option and we fill in the void at the 4/5 postion via draft/ trade/ MLE, I'd love Carney for the LLE. Him or McCants.

76ers agree to terms with Carney

The 76ers have agreed to terms with forward Rodney Carney, this according to a source familiar with the situation.

Carney, 6-foot-7, has agreed to a 1-year deal. Previously, Carney spent two seasons with the Sixers: 2006-07, 2007-08. In July of 2008, Carney was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves, where he played last season.

In his 3-year career, Carney has averaged 6.5 points and 2.0 rebounds a game.

Steal for the minimum. If Spurs resign Manu next year, look for the Spurs to look at Carney with the LLE if they intend to give Splitter the majority of the MLE.
