till November. tough year for us. we were banged up bad. Tyson needs surgery in the off season and Paul is just simply wore the out. his knee is banged up pretty bad as well. West was fairly solid for us after the All Star break, but his true colors showed in the playoffs as well as that over paid eurotrash called Peja. either way I am still proud of them for winning 49 games with all of the bull ...
I am crossing my fingers that Shinn will finally can Byron Scott, but I doubt it ... he will use the season of injuries as his excuse instead of looking at the fact that Scott has put this team in a bigger hole. his refusal to give our younger talent a fair chance, stubbornness to adjust his game plan, and refusal to accept ANY responsibility (rather blame it ALL on the players) has worn thin in N.O. .... oh and not to mention him running guys out of town simply because they were "young and immature" such as J.R. SMITH, BRANDON BASS, BIRDMAN, ETC. The team doesn't respond to Scott anymore and that became crystal clear about midway through this season.
with that said, can't blame it all on injuries and congrats to the Nuggets. damn good team. I would pull for Dallas in the next round simply because I like a lot of their players, but thanks to sissy little cuckolds like Ghazi ... I just don't think I can do that. god bless sons

son the Hornets have no problem in any area but finance, the players surely got frustrated with Chandler's trade. Although that trade was aborted by Chandler's injury, it still mutilated the morale of the whole team badly.
son financially they are perfectly fine. they have made plenty of profit the last two seasons. selling out 98% of the arena, 11,000+ season ticket holders, new corporate sponsors added every month, waiting list for luxury suites, 6th in the entire NBA for merchandise sold, etc., etc. ... not making money is NOT the problem. financially the problem is GEORGE SHINN .... he has NEVER paid over the luxury tax as an owner and probably never will. even in his Charlotte days whenever they led the NBA in attendance for many years. he is in this to solely make money. unlike any other owner in the NBA, the team is 100% of his income.

son the rumors have already started with those two ... I am hoping that we can package David West with Peja and get rid of them both. that would be the ONLY hope of getting rid of Peja and his stupid contract. West has a VERY ownership friendly contract for a player of his caliber. he has 2 years left and is only owed $17 million over those 2 years (09/10: $9M, 10/11: $8M). not to mention he is still relatively young (28) and coming off of back to back All Star years with his scoring numbers improving each of the last 5 seasons .... shouldn't be too hard to sell to some teams. just gotta hope they want him bad enough to take Peja as well.

Fair assessment I guess....in both spots in which he excelled as a coach he happened to have 2 very good floor generals, though he worked with less with the Nets (even though the East was weaker back then). Still have to think he had something to do with the teams' success.
Shame for Tyson, he seemed to be developing more of a game in the post.
Just looked up the heights.....for some reason either West looked bigger or Karl looked shorter to me.

West definitely doesn't have the post game of Karl Malone. I wish he was a little more aware of his teammates and defenders. This team needs to learn how to pass.
