Yea, our power went out - twice!
I heard at the airport they had Gust's of 50-60 mph
I swear @ our house between 2:00-3:00 am (seaworld area) we must have been pushing gusts of 50 mph easy

High winds cause power outages
By Eva Ruth Moravec - Express-News More than 12,000 CPS Energy customers throughout San Antonio are in the dark Thursday morning as heavy winds overnight damaged power lines, authorities said.
Around 1:30 a.m., customers began to lose power, said company spokesman Samuel Taylor. By 3 a.m., winds had caused power to fail for more than 28,000 customers, and crews have worked continuously since then to bring customers back on-line.
Taylor said the power outages have taken place all over town, but concentrations of outages occurred in the Northwest Side of town and in Windcrest. By 7 a.m. Thursday, the major concentrations of outages had been restored, Taylor said, and the remaining customers without power were scattered around San Antonio.
Winds also damaged area telephone poles, traffic lights, trees and street signs all through the area.

Yeah, we lost power too. I had the window open and one minute it was gusting wind and the next...nothing.
I slept through it apparently ...

When I went to my car to leave for work, a neighbor from 3 houses down's recycling bin was in my driveway.
All of our lines are underground so we didn't lose any power, fortunately.
I can sleep through everything but someone snoreing ...You can sleep through a tornado!

My dogs kept waking up and running downstairs to bark every time the wind blew open the flap of their doggy door; I guess they thought someone was coming in.
