Yes
No.
Ohter (post option please)
Let's see how this goes.
Any of y'all in San Antonio have a vested interest in what I do.
You make the call. I am currently at work.
With what's going around right now, and having children at home, you should definitely see a doctor. No need to put the kids at risk; better safe than sorry!
see Back2Basics
A note of explanation:
I don't really care. I probably won't go see the doctor, and probably don't have "swine flu". I just threw this out there because I am curious to see what people think.
BUT
I don't know what I have. Should I get tested or not? If I do and wander around at work, and ahead of you in the line to order a cheeseburger, I could be exposing you to a potentially deadly virus.
According to some media outlets, don't go see your doctor right away, but call that 1-800-SWINE FLU hotline first.![]()
Only if you're running a fever. Otherwise I'd wait it out.
Another note:
I think I do have an ethical obligation to both get tested, and stay home. I probably will ignore that, as I am under an incredibly tight deadline at work and my boss is counting on me to get some important reports done.
No fever as of yet.
My coworker's daughter currently has strep throat, and the wait at the Texas MedClinic yesterday to get her some antibiotics was about 100X worse than usual. If you can even imagine such a thing.
But, it was strep ... so if you have what I lovingly refer to as "strep breath" and puss nodules on the back of your throat, I'd go to the doctor. And if you do go to the doctor, take a blanket and something good to read ... they are keeping it like a meat locker in there.![]()
It probably is strep. My wife reported a sore throat a day or so before I got it, and she is a college student, and probably picked it up there.
BUT
She is a college student. Making it entirely possible one of her classmates traveled to mexico for partying reasons recently.
Yes but if your kids get sick from what you have, your boss probably won't care that they are counting on you take care of them...
I can't decide which of these tickles me more.
Both have been saved, just to cover all my bases.
Aww, RandomGuy. I've known you for quite a while on this site. It's sad that you're dying of swine flu.My condolences.
+1
they only send kids home from school if they are running fever, so I figure there is something to that.
I usually gargle with mouthwash for 30 seconds 2-3 times a day til the sore throat goes away. At the latest, it's usually gone by day 3.
interesting i have never tried that before, but if i do get it i will give it a shot.
yeah I had a bad sinus infection but no fever
Stay home. Lock all ur doors and then set ur house on fire so the virus does not spread!
Stop eating pork.
