Don't know about that. Pierce was the closer for the Celtics in the Finals. Plus, he played both ends of the court and did a pretty damn good defensive job on Kobe when he was switched on him late in games. The fake Willis Reed drama that adds to his bag legend aside, I think Pierce was the right choice for Finals MVP last year.
He's been clutch this season in a series that's gone about two games longer than it should have to fight off elimination in the first round. Whoopie ing doo. If he were as much of a no-show as he was last year at this time he'd be watching the Blazers/Rockets game from his couch right now.
