denver, man sook you're such a pussy. Denver goes globetrotter on the hornies and you're all wood over them that bro.
The lakes are way too overconfident, I hope they play that way too b/c they have a surprise coming for them if they do.
we were going to split that series. The Lakers are the best team in the NBA, not because of talent, but because they DO ALL THE RIGHT THINGS DOWN THE STRETCH. No weakness on this team.
One of those games was when Wafer went for his career high and the Rockets had a clear path to win the game. Then Kobe hit a 3 to give them the lead. Then, Rafer could have tied the game up but missed both FTs, because he sucks. Then Pau misses FTs and we were down by 3, still able to tie the game, and Yao takes a fadeaway 2 (Don't know why).
The other game at the TC we held a double digit lead going into Half Time, we absolutely whipped them the 1st half. Artest being the dumb he is really provoked the orange mamba.
The first game of the season was one of the WEIRDEST games i have ever seen. They had a 21 point lead in the 2nd qrtr and lost by 29 points. Almost a 50 point swing. Of course they were learning to play together, and the injured mcgrady kept holding the team down.
This is why i think them sweeping us during the reg season is quite misleading. I think this will goto 6 games fersure. Lakers in 7 if the rockets play their best ball.
Even though we lead the nuggets 3-1, i know they would assrape us, because we won those in really really close games. Another example of how records can be misleading.

I am with bb. This has a higher chance of a sweep than going 7. Rockets were still the second last team I wanted the Lakers to face, though.
I am sick of all the Rocketsfans that are crying about the Lakers record. Might as well pack it in right now and go home. Maybe you guys are too young to remember this but here's a history lesson for you pansies.
The 1995 Rockets were the lowest seed to win the NBA Championship(6th).
Don't forget that we have a tradition to uphold. The tradition of Clutch City!! Never give up...and yes that means you Sook!
Yea, but thats becuase we had Hakeem and he was godlike.
Whatever..with today's rules Hakeem would be putting up 20:10 yes but he'd also have games where like Yao he would have been raped by the officials.
You just compared Olajuwon to Yao ming. Sorry, invalid reasoning. Try again.
I like Houston' chances in this series. They boast two great perimeter defenders in Battier and Artest. Yao on the other hand will make mincemeat of the Laker bigs. The Lakers still have the advantage and still considered favorites, but I've seen weirder things happen in basketball. Finally, whoever wins this series takes the West.
If the Mavs beat Denver I agree but I think Denver could beat LA or Houston.
Ok does this make you feel better?

You're underrating the overall brilliance of Olajuwon in his prime, offensively and defensively he carried Houston. Im sad to read your post especially since you're a Rocket fan.
I'm stating a fact that the rules changes implemented by David Stern has screwed the Center position. Just ask Shaq
I love these threads.
The Rockets go 0-4 in the regular season against LAL and now they I'm not supposed to be surprised if the series goes 7 games.

Playoffs are different. Teams are much more focused. I see this series stretching to 6 games at best. The difference between Houston and LA is the Lakers have Kobe. If the Rox had a healthy Tmac then all bets changes, but unfortunately the Rockets are enjoying that second round ass while Tmac is under the bed listening to that bed creak.
The Rockets will forever be a tantalizing wet dream.
You should probably put this notion out of your head that a healthy T-Mac and Yao will ever coexist. It just ain't happening. What you have now is as good as it gets until you trade T-mac.
I do think a healthy tmac and yao will work next year in theory. problem is tmac won't play RA brand of basketball. He needs to go east and be a vet leader on a team of youngins so he can get out the first round and make some noise gary payton or Ray Allen-like. I do think he can and will do that. If we get some good in return for mac--we will be an even better team next year.
LOL, I dont think you have ever seen Hakeem play. He would dominate the league if he played in this era.
Great quote by Battier:
“We’re playing with house money now,” Battier said. “Like I said, no one is expecting much out of us. We’re expecting something out of us.”

No center would dominate the league today with the rules. Not even Wilt Chamberlin. I dare you to say that Wilt would score 100 pts with a guy in the front and a guy in the back denying him the ball and getting hacked on almost every position without a foul called.
But you forget one thing, if Olajuwon, Abdul Jabar, Patrick Ewing, Moses Malone, D-rob, and Shaq were all in the league-david stern would change the rulls.
well, they changed the rules b/c he was so dominant
i mad the comments about denver wayyy before the playoffs. They are too solid of a team. If the rockets didn't play as boneheaded as they do i may beg to differ.
