They say they intend to let him come back healthy, but that is expected. I would try to trade it for Rip Hamilton and Tayshaun Prince.
Not gonna happen. Rip and Tay are on the table, but the Pistons need quality frontcourt help, which they can't go after if they're carrying an overpaid, injury-prone wing.

Yeah, that sounds good. But I wouldn't put Prince on the bench, I'd give him the starting job and let Artest go. When does his contract end?
    After the playoffs.

Pistons aren't going anywhere next season, I think Dumars would love to have 23 mil coming off the books in 2010.

his contract ends this year but its likely that morey will give him an extension with his playoff performance so far
btw even with TMacs contract coming off the book we can barely keep everyone in our current roster. Von Wafer, Lowry, Brooks, Scola, and Landry are all under-valued now and they will be asking for a big payday. We also need to trade for another big man to back up Yao (our top priority of this off-season)

If you somehow manage to get Rip and Tay I wouldn't re-sign Artest.

IMO Rockets top priority should be getting a star guard that can take over in the clutch.

the perfect plan would be trade TMac for Rip and Tay, resign Artest and trade Battier for a quality back up Big man (like Lee or Wilcox). Although i am a Battier homer but Tay is just as good of a defensive player as Battier while Tay is lightyears ahead of Battier on offense

A starting lineup of Yao, Scola, Artest, Rip, Brooks with Prince and Wilcox coming off the bench? just give us the at the beginning of the season

    Cavs in 4

Games 3 and 4 in Atlanta won't matter. While the Hawks are happy just to be in the 2nd round the Cavs will see the Finals.

you will change your mind after the Lakers big men hand us back our anus when Yao is sitting on the bench

If I have Prince and Hamilton (two players that can create on offense) then I'd much rather have Battier than Artest on my team. Artest would be a lot more expensive and he also may have problems accepting to be the 4th option on the team (behind Yao, Rip and Tay, not to mention that he should be a lesser option than Scola and maybe Brooks and Wafer too)

Hasta Luego Cheat, Refs were cheating for you and yet you still got blown out of the effin building. I told you guys that not even the Refs could save D-whistle this time. On a serious note though that was a extremely boring and annoying series. Cavs are gunna kick our ass, hopefully we can get a win and not get swept...*sighs*

Battier can play some real defense, you may want to double think trading him for a big man.

Yeah I like the how the game clock "malfunction" causing Wade a 8 second violation. That call broke the momentum the Heat were getting into after cutting into the lead.

You realize that if Game 7 were in Miami most likely the Hawks would have been done. Is moot either way the Cavs are going to crush the Hawks or Heat if they had advance.

At least we made the playoffs. You can't say the same.
