That was probably the most useful part of this whole episode, finally getting all that in perspective. I spent most of last week still trying to sort that mess out.
And for the 20th week in a row, I ing hate the president right along with you dude. To quote the director of Marge's musical in the Simpsons, "I'm asking you for white hot rage, and what you're giving me is a hissy fit!" I've never missed Dennis Haysbert so much as I did this week. You really got the feeling that he was conflicted about so much that he had to do for the greater good as president. This chick just sucks out loud and she only hits one flat ass note over and over again while doing it.
And I get that Aaron has been out of the game for a while but did the dude go ing senile? If he doesn't shoot Olivia next week I'm going to be ever so pissed. When she was ing about the deal for Hodges I really wanted him to say, "I was guarding David Palmer when he pardoned Nina Myers. Twice! Get over it."
Jack going off on Fake Chloe was easily the highlight of the episode. I hate her too, mostly for the same reason that I end up hating the whiney liberal character from every season. National security outfits don't usually hire whiney liberals for their high level intelligence gathering departments. It's nice to see real Chloe back in the mix. My dark horse theory with how they showed her taking everything so hard is that she'll be the one to pull the trigger on Tony. Don't know how or why, but that's my gut, which has been wrong often.
All things considered, I'm rooting harder and harder for Tony every week. Seriously, if this is the government that he's trying to undo then why the not? The only problem I had with him this week is, did he really take a shower with a dead guy still on the floor? That's just creepy. What I really hope happens is that he's able to exploit Jack's mental deterioration and make him think it's 2002 again, that he and Jack are buddies working for CTU, and that they need to go shoot the damn president full of holes because she killed David Palmer and stole the presidency.

Oh well, it doesn't matter now, she's in deep now.
