1. Kidd for Harris-Christ: let's not rehash this one, there's already been 1828238934983893 comments on this trade.
2. Not trading Josh Howard this offseason despite a definite offer of Ron Artest and Gerald Wallace being available: Defense & physical/mental toughness not requirements to play for the Mavericks.
3. Not trading Kidd for Baron Davis/Chris Kaman: Kidd never turns the ball over and he's smart. Yeah.

4. Passing on Big Baby Davis for Nick Fazekas: We had affirmative action laws to meet, so bring on the big white stiff.
5. Trading Marquis Daniels for Austin Croshere: See above.

I think 5 is quite underrated by Mavs fans. Quis would have been vital to the Mavs, seeing as we haven't had a true 2 since he left.

Wright is okay at SG since Baron is more aggressive on offense than Kidd. two solid defensive guards, a defensive beast at SF that can score in either Artest or Wallace, Dirk is Dirk, and Kaman isn't great but he's an upgrade over both Dampier and Hollins.
But apparently not hurting Josh's feelings and keeping cap room available for the 2010 pipe dream is more important.
