But Fisher is a shooter that can shoot lights out at the 3 and has a decent jumper. I dont know the Lakers and never heard of Brown, what does he bring to the table? It wasn't like Brooks was off the hook in game 2 anyways so having Fish would be a plus.
Except Fisher is 5/20 from 3pt land and Brown is something like 11/16.

Bottom line is D-Fish has been slumping for some time now.

Brown brings some of the best PG defense in the league to the team. He can board, block shots, and run the break better than Fisher. I'm fully confident that he will do a better job than Fish when he's out there with the starting unit.

Stu Jackson just doing what he's suspposed to do.

Elbow to the chest does not get you a suspension. Elbow to the throat does.

Since Kobe elbowed him to the chest, he won't get a suspension.

Good job in investingating this thoroughly and not buying into the throat flop, Stu.

I'm very excited to see what the Laker D looks like with Brown in the starting 5. Should be some great perimeter D between him, Kobe, and Ariza.
Brown may still be too young for the "big moment" in a big game...and D-Fish is definitely a leader/clutch player when it really comes down to it...the Lakers may need/miss that tomorrow night.

Elbow to throat... Fisher's elbow was to the chest.

Just saw the new angle which shows it might have been below the throat. If that is the case then ignore my post.

The difference between Rondo and Alston is that you could at least argue that Rondo was playing during the foul (and yes, I'm one of the people who think he should've got suspended for the Hinrich whip, not for the hard foul on Miller though.)

Alston's slap was far away from the action, and obviously premeditated.

you are underestimating the value of Fisher. He brings championship experience, experiences playing with kobe for years, he can knock down 95% of his FTs, and he has been a sharp shooter under any kind of pressure. Let me make my prediction here. when the game is close, we are 100% we are going to double-team Kobe off Brown, but we are not going to leave Fisher open.
theres a reason why the holez went to the WCF when Fish was there. i respect his game (minus the cheap shot of course )

Of course Fish brings a lot of intangibles, but the Lakers aren't going to lose a game because he's not on the floor. His performance has dropped off quite a bit this year and his liabilities on defense hurt the team.

Give me 48 minutes of solid PG defense any day of the week. Front Yao, keep Brooks in check, force Ron Ron to be the man. That seems like a good strategy to me. Let's hope reality catches up with Ron and he stops making step back 3's with 1 second on the shot clock

Fish has been shooting like crap the last 10 games... and Brown is like 8 for 12 from the 3 in the playoffs. Will be nice to see. The only real loss would be experience.

This is the expected outcome. LOL @ Phil Jackson saying Fish shouldn't get suspended.
I don't think any coach will come out and say, suspend my player please!!!!
