I've been in Panama City Florida all week for work, so i havent had a whole lot of time to comeup with any good idea's for my wife for Mother's Day.

Our son is 16 months old and i want to do something special for her, from the two of us. What can i do over the next 36hrs??

arghh...why did i come to the airport so damn early. This airport is about the size of a regular HEB.

Let her sleep in. Have someone watch the baby and get her out of the house to do something fun. Let her pick the movie. Buy her some pretty flowers and a card. Write something sweet and mushy in it and fake your son's signature (or outline his hand--that's what we do). Tell her she's doing a good job and her son is lucky to have her as a mom.

    Or diamonds.

I thought about going to walgreen's or HEB or whatver and getting a boatload of "homespa" stuff and giving her a day spa sort of treatment but at home...This wouldnt really incorporate Andrew though, is my only hang up.

Maybe i could do the flowers / card thing + the dayspa stuff...hrmm....

Depending on your situation, you don't necessarily have to include your son. In fact, if she's a stay-at-home mom, NOT including the baby would be a nice day out for her. Being stuck at home all day with the baby is mind-draining. Let her do something adult with you (I don't mean dirty, I just mean a movie or nice lunch).

Also, some women really like the bath oils and stuff, but a lot of women don't. If your wife doesn't really do bubble baths and stuff like that, but you'd like her to do something pampering, maybe get her an appointment at a spa for a pedicure or facial or massage. Remember what I said about getting out of the house. As long as she's at home, she's at work. It's a treat to get away.

Personally, I have always wanted to spend mothers' day with my child and not leave him with someone, but that is just me. Maybe on a different day- fine- but not on Mothers' Day itself.

I like the idea of you doing the pampering and spa for her. It is more personal and takes your effort- not just buying her a gift certificate to some place.

Mostly tell her how great a mother she is- that is really all she wants to hear on her special day- that you RECOGNIZE and APPRECIATE all she does as the mother to your son.

Good points! thanks! I think im on the right track...i just felt bad that her sister's kids were with her the later part of this week making fun crafts for mom on mother's day, and im stuck (if you wanna call it that) at the beach in florida feeling like a jack off sitting at tiki bar listening to the hints.

Any good suggestions for "home spa" type stuff? Not necessarily bubble bath and what not, but more specialized stuff...facials, masks? i dunno...any idea where i could go for the good stuff? Im sure HEB isnt on the top of the list.

Bath adn Body Works is a good place to start, but be prepared to be insulted by their prices.

I come from a big family and we all get together for mother's day-- my mom and all her kids and all our kids, even some great-grandkids-- so it has traditionally been a family day. Like I said, Saturday watch my kid and give me the day off...

Get a babysitter and have sex with her all day. Wear a condom, one kid is plenty. Video tape the love making and if it turns out good post it on youporn and let me know! Thats how you celebrate MILF day. Have fun!

My wife enjoys the personal touch so the kids make their own personal mother's day cards and we make sure she doesn't have to anything on her special day. They make her breakfast and I do the cooking for the rest of the day. This year I'm cooking for my mom, wife, sister and sister-in-law. Just show her how much she is loved and appreciated and you'll do well.

If she is from Southern California, get her something she has NEVER seen before…A nice scrub brush, can of Ajax, a vacuum cleaner…

For the rest of the ladies, flowers & cash…
