Damn im soooo glad I didnt trade for him now......Thanks for saying no Dan.
if you offered me Carlos Delgado today for a suspended Manny I still wouldn't take it. Delgado sucks. I have enough old bones on my team, the last thing I need is old bones that hit .220

to show my talent evaluation skills, I drafted Bannister in the draft- the Royals being the Royals sent him to start the season in the minors, they call him up to pitch and through 4 starts he is 2-0 with a 1.54 ERA. It's possible that I'm a better talent evaluator than anyone employed by the Kansas City Royals, which I know isn't saying much but still.

The Astros suck. The only reason I have the bum LeTroy Hawkins is so he can get me a save to win that this week, and the Astros suck so bad they can't even get to him in the 9th. I think they gave up 15 runs this week to the Nationals between the 6th and 9th inning. Just get me a damn save so I can drop your ass

You guys let me know when you are ready to trade for closers...I've got em. My team isn't exactly tearing up the fantasy world of baseball, but one thing it does have is closers.

Taking offers...and I know exactly how scarce they are.

I had a bad weekend thats for sure. I sat a guy that went 8 scoreless innings and no walks, and another guy that gave up a run in 7 innings (Baker and Maine) because I was depending on Lester to give me a solid outing and thus win the WHIP and ERA categories.

    Well, basically the reverse happened
-Lester sucked, giving up like 7 runs in the 5th inning costing me K's, WHIP and ERA all in one turn. I could have gone after K's if I knew he would have sucked balls
-Rollins is hitting below .200 and has 1 damn stolen base
-Eric got a lucky save yesterday by a non-closer to tie
    -Rollins can't hit
-My Best player is a roider

I'm open to offers for that piece of Lester.

and if anyone wants a closer for a couple weeks you can have Hawkins- just let me know, I don't want a kings ransom for him

Yeah I thought I was going to sneak in that last min steal, Win, and Whip to take 8 from mel but it didnt happen. It was a battle for sure, I have several guys hurt and others not producing right now. I was lucky to take 5 from Mel this week, but my strike out guys really came out to play this week.

not producing is an understatement for Jimmy Rollins, my first overall pick

    .195 BA
    .231 OBP
    1 HR
    9 RBI
    1 Stolen Base

    Last Year's stats
    .277 BA
    .349 OBP
    11 HR
    47 SB

He is bringing the whole team down

I checked and I took Utley first, Rollins 2nd.

Rollins was 4th in MLB in stolen bases, hit for a decent average and I wanted a base stealing middle infielder. I'm sure if I didn't pick him your computer would have taken him shortly after

LOL ok Utley is def a better pick for number one. No I dropped rollins in my preranking cause Id rather have a slugger that can give me Runs, RBI's, HR, and OBP. LOL it must kill you that the two top teams right now had "autodrafts" lol. I dont know if Alamo pre-ranked or anything but he is doing well.

    In 2007 Rollins stats

    BA .296
    HR 30
    RBI 94
    R: 139
    SB: 41

2006 was close to 2007, 2008 was a slight drop off but he also missed time because of injury. It's not crazy to expect numbers in the same ballpark as 2007- which would warrant a #2 overall pick- just being a SS alone makes those stats crazy because SS is not a deep position in fantasy. Once Ramirez, Rollins, and Reyes are gone there is a significant drop off. Me picking Rollins 2nd expecting numbers similar to 2007 (.290, 20 Homers, 45 Steals) is about as rational as taking Evan Longoria coming off a rookie season banking on that season not being a fluke. I mean you took Josh Hamilton 2nd which might be worse than Rollins even knowing what I know now so I wouldn't beat your chest too hard.

Hamilton and Longoria had the same questions: could they repeat 2008 or was it a fluke? Longoria has proven himself, and Hamilton hasn't. Rollins atleast had 3-4 years of good numbers to justify the pick. AND PLUS, Hamilton is an outfielder a position of which there are 5-6 on each team, they come a dime a dozen.

I really wanted Hamilton after what he showed me last year. Yeah he is slumping and injured right now but Im sure he will bounce back. OF has 3 spots on our roster so why wouldnt someone rather have strong production out of the OF position. If you notice I have a lot of OF on my bench . Its like having 3 spots for WR in fantasy football. Im going to draft WR heavy. That was my strategy and guess what im in 2nd. Id rather go for the categories that I feel are more dominated by studs. Id pass up on steals to get RBI, RUNS, HR, and OBP. Same goes for pitching thats why I only have 3 closers. Wins, Strikeouts, ERA, and WHIP are more important. Yes I traded you Haren for a closer just so I can steal the save category from time to time.

Brady Anderson showed alot in 1996, but it was a fluke. Same with Hamilton.

Nope, I only scratched Ben Sheets from the pre-rankings.
I just didn't try to outsmart the computer.

Move #19 is on the way by the way, it will be a blockbuster.
These moves put me at the top for now, not auto-drafting Sizemore and Howard #1 and #2.....yet.
