I did a notebook job on the east side of San Antonio and the girls father gets his hair cut where AJ gets his hair cut when in San Antonio. Its a semi famous barber shop on the East side. He said AJ has been communicating with the Spurs off and on to start as a asst. coach then head coach and this man has always been a good source of fresh and accurate inside scoops when it comes to personal info in the Spurs organization even Don Harris knows about it, I just I hope he doesn't get upset me posting this information.

Spur fans........would you be ok with AJ as your coach?

Tim Duncan is too old For Phil Jack to try and come over. He only rides the coattails of teams with superstar players in their prime.

Pop has said he might leave when Duncan calls it quits.
    I'd take either 2 coaches.

I think Pop will retire when Duncan does, and I think both are done in 2012. I don't think Duncan would play for anyone else, whatever coaching change happens will happen after he's done.

Not going to happen. AJ would never take an assistant job under anyone except Pop. On second thought, I can't see AJ taking another assistant's job period. Especially considering there will be many vacancies open in the next couple of years. Sure AJ has the luxury to "cherry pick", while collecting Cuban's money for the next couple of seasons.

And remember, two future-hall of famers in the starting lineup is the minimum philip needs to win a le. Laverne Odom and Andrea Bynum don't cut it, do they? (Blown out by TMac and Yao-less rockets??? LOL!)

Umm.. Exactly how many games has coach "bud" won in the NBA?

    Played?

    Championships won?

Regular season wins as a coach?

    Defensive Schemes he has designed...

    Playoff wins...

    Payoff appearances...?

    ZERO

Also he has been stuck as an assistant for what 14 years?

Not only that when other Spurs Personnel...

Ferry,,,,BROWN.....KERR..ect..ect... NONE of them made move to acquire this "prince to the thrown" BUD...You guys realy get some ed up ideas don't you

Bud has been assistant coach to winningest team in basketball. He also did coach Spurs to a couple of wins when Pop was out. Not to mention a lot of strategies that Spurs use are really Bud's not Pops.

not to mention that AJ had his chance in the same way Bud would. AJ also choked in the finals and was not able to work Kidd into his team. Dude is a micromanager and control freak.

    Bud > AJ
