I would trade Barkley just for Roundball Rock.
Anybody miss it? I like TNT but I miss the days of NBC. Remember the triple headers during the regular season, first and second rounds? What about how from game 3 of the conference finals all the way to the NBA finals, NBC did the primetime games starting at 9pm EST. ABC is ok but the fact they arent doing prime time games like this blows. The NBC intro got you all pumped up. You knew it was game time. I also miss the TNT theme from 2000-2002. The current TNT theme isnt bad but not nearly as good as the previous one. Do you guys miss those days?

now we have stupid ass jon barry,hubie, that one fat black dude that it seems like the spurs always lose when he commentates

Too much Heat-Knicks, but other than that NBC did the job.
CBS did it better though.

I ing hated it and I would still welcome it over ABC's ty crew. Costas did nothing but suck Jordan's , Walton was useless, Peter Vescey belongs at the bottom of the East river, and I would still take them over ABC.

Between Costas and Rashad, I'm surprised MJ still had enough of his balls to make that shot in Utah.

The NBA on NBC theme just added more drama, was great for the games. The best commentating team: Marv Albert, Bill Walton, and Steve Snapper Jones.
Now its nothing but movie premiere information...movie stars...and music groups having their album played at the start of every game. I remember NBC being nothing but BASKETBALL.
I remember watching some old video, and back then, arenas hardly blasted crappy music. You just heard the players and the squeak of their shoes on the court.

True, but superstar fellating isn't unique to NBC's NBA broadcasts. In the '80s when the NBA was on CBS, Musberger and Heinson swung from Bird and Magic's s. Nowadays it's LeBron and Kobe. Superstar-oriented league leads to superstar-oriented broadcasts.
YES, the old NBA on NBA theme was the best. i remember fondly all the old battles and the 'Miller genuine moments' clips as well.
cbs was trash they were homers to the celtics.
How I miss NBA on NBC. I remember they found some rapper out here in LA that made some song for Vlade Divac called "Stop the Flop". ABC is too gay to do something like that. I wish I could find that song.
No way. CBS had that ignorant Celtic , Tommy Henison, fellating Larry Bird every second of every game. Brent Musberger and Pat O'Brien blew too. NBC with Marv Albert and then later with Walton and Snapper together kill anything CBS put together.
John Tesh plays the NBA on NBC theme music sometimes on his radio show. That music was awesome and the NBA was way better when it was on NBC.
