Correct (for the record ... timvp didn't know the answer )
Hey, I eventually guessed it. I had the wrong era of Dodgers in mind in the first guesses.

My first thought was Ron Cey . . . . then I remembered the question was about stealing bases.

To rub some salt in the wounds of Dodgers fans: Reggie Jackson hit home runs on 3 consecutive pitches from 3 different Dodgers pitchers in Game 6 of the 1977 World Series. Who were those pitchers?

I first thought it was in the Steve Sax/Pedro Guerrero era.

There are 27 members of the 3,000 hit club, but only one reached 3,000 hits with a triple, only one reached 3,000 hits with a home run, and only one was thrown out on the same play that saw him reach 3,000 hits. Who are they?
Boggs got it on a homer and then celebrated for half an hour. Biggio got it but then got thrown out trying to stretch it into a double, IIRC. The triple I think is Robin Yount ..... or maybe Paul Molitor. I can picture it but I forgot which of those former teammates got the unlikely triple.

Burt Hooton, Elias Sosa, and Charlie Hough. I know because I got in trouble for saying, "Oh my God" after the third one. (I was a young child.)

    Yes, Yes, and Molitor.

Correct. I have that game on DVD. I was never a big Reggie fan, but that's truly a remarkable performance.

When I saw your name in the thread I was prepared to answer either Doug Drabek or Ron Gant for their Victoria connection.

    Ron Gant.

I was drafted by an NBA team, an ABA team, an NFL team and a MLB team before choosing baseball for my career. I once charged the mound on Nolan Ryan and had a near 20 years streak of futility against him before breaking up his no-hit bid in the 8 the inning with only my second career hit against him in 23 AB's.

    Who am I?

I am the guy who faced Nolan Ryan the most times without ever striking out against him.

    Who am I?

Hint, I'm not known for my hitting, and the name of whottt's fantasy baseball team is a major clue.

I'll guess Andre Dawson based off the first sentence.

Screwball pitcher? Uh................. McGraw and Valenzuela are the only two screwball pitchers I can think of who probably survived long enough to hold that claim.

They look alot alike and had very similar careers but Andre is not the guy I am thinking of. Only one other player besides the one I am talking about was drafted by an NBA team, an NFL team and an MLB team, and it wasn't Andre Dawson.

well those are very good guesses, would you care to narrow it down to one? Hint: He was a teamate of several players already mentioned in this thread.

    Oh yeah, then Dave Winfield.

They do remind me of each other. And now it makes sense because I couldn't think of when Dawson ever charging Nolan. That would have been a pay per view event.

And the other one must be Fernando. Didn't you ask that once in a chatroom? Now it sounds familiar.

    Right on that one.

And Fernando Valenzuela was the answer to the other question. Valenzuela faced Nolan Ryan 12 times without ever striking out, the most of anyone.

LOL I might have. It's one of my favorite ones because no one is ever thinking pitcher on that sort of question.

Ditto the Babe Ruth the pitcher and fielder question...I stumped the guys at baseball fever with that one because they just weren't thinking of Ruth as a pitcher. I think I gave more information here on that one than I did there though.

It was early in Winfield's career. He was the first and only other player to charge the mound on Ryan in his entire career besides Robin Ventura...and probably the A #1 reason Ryan Ventura got the crap beat out of him when he did so 20 years later.

Have you ever seen Dave Winfield? I mean all you need to know about it is that Winfield was drafted by an NFL, NBA, ABA, and MLB team. Nolan wanted no part of that..it basically was just a wrestling match with the teamates breaking it up.

LOL in this one it was Winfield that did the swinging and Nolan ducked and tackled him until his catcher could come out there for help.

I don't think it's possible for a normal sized man to beat Dave Winfield in a fight. Dude is insanely built. He was going to be a TE in the NFL. Imagine that a TE that was also a gold glove center fielder.

I forget the details but I think Nolan whizzed one by Winfield's head and Winfield took exception to it so he charged. Next time up he got a fastball whizzed right by his head again, probably going 100mph or so.

I got one...what current MLB reliever could rightfully play for a team called the Panama Canalians and is really not as good of a rep of a certain country as, oh say, Francisco Cordero, who incidentally just might be available for trade.

I am a poster who doesn't know the proliferation of Dominicans to the surrounding countries?

Yeah, figured you'd look on my fantasy team. I was looking at his stats and I was like damn I wish he was Dominican but I know he's not because he was born in Boston. Then I researched and was pleasantly surprised

And yeah, I'd take Cordero. I am the player you want in exchange.

    Who am I?

    P.S.

I am the Ranger who pitched a perfect game ~15 years ago. And I am the outfielder who made the miraculous catch during the game.

    Who are we?

You might be the current major league leader in HR and a player that was trade bait 2 years ago.

    Kenny Rogers and Rusty Greer.

Did you know that was the first perfect game by a left handed pitcher in AL history?
