Has the ball inbounded to Dwight Howard at the end of the game down 3? What a moron!

Well to be fair no one else could get open. They were out of timeouts so it would have been a 5 seond violation. But still they should not even had him in there.

Now I see why Riley took over for him in 05-06. No way does the Heat even sniff the Finals with him coaching.

No one else was open you. He should of taken Howard out or had Howard INBOUND the ing ball.
Na, take him out, if he inbounded, boston would have had an extra defender to chase the ball with.

NOW the dumbass wants to set a play up for Howard when they REALLY needed a 3. I always defended SVG, but like someone else said maybe Riley was right replacing him in 06.

That was a stupid statement. So according to him when asked how they lose a 14 point lead "Well Boston are the Champs". And? So you are supposed to lose a 14 point lead and the game to the KG less Celtics because they are the champs?

He should be honest and say "I don't care, I only have to coach one more game."

Doesn't matter. It was stupid for Howard to even be on the floor.

Dwight Howard went to the FT line with a look as if like someone sent him to the principle's office....he wanted no part of the ball in the clutch. I have had a great disdain for Shaq ever since he put on a Lakers' uniform and have rarely found him skillfull, amusing, entertaining, endearing, or the like, but if there's one thing I'll give him props for it's this:

In situations like that, he OWNED the moment...if for nothing else to showup people that gave him flack about his horrid FT shooting or tried to Hack-A-Shaq their way into the win column.

    Advantage, Shaq.

i don't see why having Howard in there was a bad move on the part of SVG ... it's obvious the ball wasn't supposed to go to Howard , but nobody else was open ... Howard is the best rebounder in the NBA and was in the game solely to get an offensive rebound ... nothing wrong with the strategy there imo - it was the execution of the play ...

At that point, a miss pretty much seals it for you, so why even have him in there? They didn't need him for Defense, since the moment the shot went in(Assuming it was a 3), Boston would call a TO.

the part that didn't make sense to me was to have Howard miss the free throw ... weren't they down by 2 at that point ? i say try and make it and make Boston hit both free throws at the other end ... that was pretty idiotic ... there was something like 4+ seconds left IIRC and if Howard had made the free throw they could have quickly fouled somebody on the inbounds pass and hoped for a miss ... or if whoever they fouled made both they could've had another attempt to tie it w/ a three ...

you have him in there for an offensive rebound ... there was time for a quick shot , an offensive rebound and a kick out .
