Lakers fans did care...most rockets fans (even in this thread) admitted prior to the game that win or lose, they are happy (rightfully so).
Better luck next time.
Lakers will not win the Champioship. Kobe might has not proven he is a Champion. Shaq sure did. If it was not for that lopsided Gasol trade they would not be herre.

Nor did the Lakers in game 4.![]()
So why make a nasty sarcastic post about it?
Fact is the Rockets would have laid the wood to the Lakers by over 50 pts if they were missing Kobe, Gasol, and Bynum which is effectively what the Rockets have lost this season.
But it's not like this is the first time. The GM should know this by now.
I wanted to see that Heiniken commercial again.
Are the Rockets even allowed to use the injury card with Yao and T-mac anymore?
One of them has been injured during the playoffs for the past what 6-7 years? At this point you pretty much have to expect that one or both of them will not be there when you need them the most.
Well, I guess you can in a sense. McGrady was out for the season; Yao came back relatively healthy so for him to go down in the middle of a playoff series does impact the Rockets negatively though they managed to win on game w/o him against the Lakers. While I do think the Lakers are the better team , the Rockets managed to win one at Staples Ctr. and who knows what would've happened had Yao not got injured? Would the Rockets been able to pull an upset w Yao and the other guys - McGrady? Possibly....but not having Grady & Yao...highly unlikely.

A fully healthy Rockets team > a fully healthy Lakers team.
