Holy. Effin'. .
I like this Jacob/Other guy demi-god battle.
It's got an ancient greek mythology feel to it.
Oh how I remember the good ol' days of Lost when the writers kept promising the series could be tied up by real world science. Or maybe they said pseudoscience. I can't remember.
Those commercials were killing me...
So do you think they changed the future by setting the bomb off?
Sweet. I totally called what was in the silver case when I first saw it.
Jason 1
LOST 0
i kinda got a hint when Locke was referring to himself in the 3rd person when they came up to Locke shot in the leg in the jungle.
He said something like "He gave him the compass"
It just stood out as weird... because if i were to see myself and refer to myself... id still say "he gave me the compass"
Pretty ing good episode
Actually, pretty ing good season.
So Locke wasn't really Locke? Locke was the man talking to Jacob on the beach at the beginning of the episode when they were looking at Pirates of the Caribbean? I thought Jacob was a god. He got stabbed by Ben and died. What is up with that?
Ben was the loophole. Maybe the loophole was that the gods couldn't kill each other. Maybe he ha to convince a human to kill him. Ben, to me, symbolized humanity...asking "what about me?" and being easily influenced to do evil. Jacob to me was more Jesus-like, and the other one more like the devil.
Just finished watching on TiVo (I'm watching again as I type this).
Holy ! I've never finished a LOST episode in pure shock, I'm still a little numb.
I've got 100 different thoughts going on in my weak noggin.
How long has this 'NotLocke' guy been around? I'm thinking he has been there from the beginning. I think he could be every unexplainable appearance by a character (dead or not) in the show. He could have been Christian Shephard on the beach, cabin, cave, etc., Walt appearing to Locke, Eko's brother appearing to Eko, most (if not all) of Hurley's visions, this guy has been setting this thing up for years! , I think there's a good chance he was Jacob in all those flashbacks. Also, notice Jacob wearing white and 'NotLocke' wearing black on the beach in the opening scene (light vs. dark, good vs. evil). I also thought it was weird that he managed to touch everyone of the Losties in their flashbacks. Also, since the Jacob killing seemed waaaaaay to easy, I don't think that was Jacob at all. I do have some thoughts as to who really is Jacob, you can probably guess who.
I could be wrong, but I'm thinking the bomb went off, but might not have changed as much as thought. If it goes off, we don't get to find out what happened with the Jacob situation, as it would never come to pass. And I'm sure we'll get to see the conclusion of that. I just don't know how they would survive (time flash?). It doesn't seem like Juliet's story is over.
I at one time, and still now, do not like Rose's character and meh for Bernard. But I did like seeing them and seeing them taking care of Vincent. I don't think they will end up being 'Adam and Eve', but they seem to be pretty good candidates.
P.S. What's up with Walt? Is his story over? Wasn't he extremely important to the others? Did we get nothing out of this?
going to sleep...finish later
I don't know where to begin............I have so many questions, and I have 10 months to think about them.
Did the bomb go off? Does Sayid die?
Will Rose & Bernard be that skeleton couple they found in the cave?
So Locke wasn't Locke. OMGOMG
They didn't show the front of the statue like I hoped they would.![]()

The final season should be awesome now that we see what is really going on.
A couple things I'm thinking is that the Smoke Monster and the Anti-Jacob might be the same thing. We know the smoke monster can shape-shift and it has been coddling Locke the entire time since the crash. The smoke monster also set up scaring Ben less into following Locke's (anti-jacob's) commands; FakeLocke was right above the meeting at the time.
Also, I doubt Jacob is dead and that was his only episode. He baited Ben to stab him like he knew what was going on. That's why he went back in time to the Hot Latin girl and told her to "help him" aka bring Locke's body to Richard.
In the end Free-Will and Love (Kate & Jack, Jin & Sun, Desmond & Penny, Sawyer & Juliet will save the day). Free-Will to change events in time, and Love to push the humans [survivors] to take on a demi-god.
I kind of thought of something while watching Sayid bleed out in the van.
Remember when the guys first found the van and it had that body in it with the "Horace" jumpsuit on? You think that was Sayid (He did steal Horace's suit for a disguise)?
But then they take the van to ambush the Swan station...so what did they do with Sayid?
I hated the finale, and the last two seasons as a whole. There was very little revealed during this season, and it's starting to come off as lazy story telling. It's easy to hook your audience when you set up unanswered question after unanswered question. The wiggle room they left themselves, there could be no real consequence for anything. Just a disappointing episode and story arch. You could see what was coming after the first five minutes.
I think the jumpsuit in the van belonged to Ben's dad.
I remember Hurley saying, "Roger Workman" like it was his name, and Sawyer told him "It's Work man. He was a janitor" or something to that effect.
At the end of the finale,....whose eye is it? Jack

What lies in the shadow of the statue?
Richard's answer in Latin translates to "he who protects us all" or "he who saves us all".
We had a better look at the head of the statue, i always thought it was anubis, but now it looks like it's Taweret (the goddess of materniy and childbirth, the protector of women and children).
