He's definitely not the best. CP3 >> him by a mile, as well as Williams and Parker. He's number 4
AHhh no give them equal teammates and Billups till destroys CP3 especially if anyone was foolish enough to play him on Chauncey with his size he could post him shoot over him and defend him better than the CP3 could the other way ...spedd is huge advantage for Cp3 but smarts, experience and clutch are all Chauncey in spades ...

IF wades considered as a PG, then Chauncey would be 5th on the list. When Gilbert gets healthy, he'll be 6th.

Dude...Andre Miller > Tony Parker. It's science. Chauncey is #5 in this instance.

I think he is the best leader.

CP3, Parker, DWill are probably better player, but Billups has much more leadership.
I am not sure any other PG would have change Melo's focus like Billups did.

I have a feeling the Thuggets won't be looking so hot once they aren't playing an eight seed. Lakers in 5!

Wade is not a pg, there's only a handful of persons I'd consider point guards.

    Jason Kidd
    Chris Paul
    Steve Nash
    Deron Williams
JJ Barae (has to pass because he'll get stuffed)

Most other 'point guards' try to break down the D to score and them pass if they can't.

I have to admit, I am a Billups fan. The man has game and never hesitates to take over the helm. Denver has a gem in this guy.

Have to call it as I see it.

They will be able to slown him down just a bit but it depends how we define "slowing down". Chauncey has an incredible floor I.Q. Mind you, he's no Brooks with that speed but Chauncey has been here before and that cons utes that intangible for Denver they haven't had in a while. Kobe is not the only guy in the league who "wills" his team to victory. Billups is more than capable also maybe not by the pure shooting talent Kobe has but for by his ability to create plays. He's no scrub is what I am trying to say.

I'd like to see Kobe or Brown on him to be honest with you but Phil runs the show. We shall see.

Best bet is still Fisher on Chauncey. Chauncey would abuse every other defender on the Lakers, including Kobe, Ariza, and Shannon Brown. A younger Kobe tried to defend Chauncey in the 04 Finals and got burned each time. Play him straight up, no double-teaming. Don't go for pump fakes. If he makes shots, then he makes shots. Giving him and-1 opportunities will kill you. And, the one thing you absolutely have to take away are his momentum three-point shots in transition. On a fast break or a delayed fast break, they must get up on him early so he doesn't walk into one of those dribble to the line three pointers. Pick him up at half court if you have to. Those shots are usually momentum shifters or they precede or cap an avalanche. Fisher is the best defender the Lakers have for Billups because he should be smart enough to not go for pumpfakes and he'll make a concerted effort to pick him up in transition.

The so called best 3 PG's in the league according to this site and some others are Williams,Paul and Parker. None of them made it past the first round and got there ass kicked hardcore style. Thats what makes me laugh about Tony Parker. Mr Overrated himself. This actually called Rondo overrated. That still kills me. Spews win because of Duncan. LOTS and LOTS of pg's in the league could play and win with Duncan. Now Billups is the man now.He would have won a bunch of rings if he switched spots with Parker. Could the same be said about if Parker was on the Pistons the year they won. NO. Watch Parker stats start sucking because Duncan is getting old.

He was the best PG in the NBA in 2006, bar none. He lost the MVP to another PG whom he outplayed overall and head-to-head. He was never the same, never, until this season.
I don't think he is the best PG in the NBA right now. Dareon Williams is like CB, but better in just about every way. All he lacks is experence, and a solid team around him (I can't wait for DW to play without Booz holding him back).
But CB is a top tier guard (was almost afraid to say that Denver got a of a deal when the trade went down. AI fans are rabbid).

I agree with much of that.

However, if Billups had played the previous two years (particularly the previous two playoffs) like he did this year and back in 2006, he wouldn't have been traded at the beginning of this season to begin with.
