Yeah, I don't get it either.
Yeah, I don't get it either.
It's a cricket!
Scola had 11 points 4-12 shooting 3-6 FT's in a game 7...
maybe Whottt's right about him being a choker! j/k
Can't knock on him(Scola) too much, since the overall team played ty on offense, with no Inside out game plan, no big-game performances from anyone raising their game--Scola included....

The Saga of Scola

If the reeling Los Angeles Lakers need another scapegoat for their suddenly perilous playoff position, perhaps they can blame Jackie Butler. It takes a few steps to get there, but play along.
Two years ago, the San Antonio Spurs realized they had overpaid Butler, a young center with a short résumé and a shorter N.B.A. lifespan. To shed his contract, the Spurs needed to trade him. To find a willing buyer, they needed to include something of value in the deal.
So in July 2007, the Spurs sent Butler and the draft rights to Luis Scola to the Houston Rockets. Two nights ago, Scola pounded the Lakers for 24 points and 12 rebounds to tie the Western Conference semifinal series at 3-3.
Scola, a star for Argentina’s national team and in the Spanish league, has largely outplayed Lakers forwards Pau Gasol and Lamar Odom. He is one of the biggest reasons that the Rockets are still contending, despite losing Yao Ming, Tracy McGrady and Dikembe Mutombo to injuries.
In Game 6, Scola practically put the Lakers away by himself. He scored the first 6 points of the game, and outscored the entire Los Angeles lineup by 12-3 in the first seven minutes. Houston cruised to an early double-digit lead and never surrendered it.
The hard-nosed, smooth-shooting Scola was highly regarded by the Spurs, but they were never sure how to fit him into their plans — financially or compe ively. At the time they traded his rights, the Spurs already had his countryman Fabricio Oberto, a center. They also owned the rights to another promising foreign big man, Ian Mahinmi, their first-round pick in 2005.
So Scola seemed expendable, or at least not essential. Ever budget-conscious, the Spurs were eager to move Butler’s $2.4 million salary off the books. They received an undisclosed amount of cash in the trade. And the one player they obtained — guard Vassilis Spanoulis — was released at his own request, providing another $4 million in savings.
Butler never played a minute for the Rockets. The Lakers surely wish that Scola never had.
my internet friend whottt is wrong
Poor Scola. Never a Euroleague le and now it look maybe never an NBA one either.
Yeah. I guess that olympic gold medal really sucks.
Obviously, everyone knows what the picture is...but two people were confused that it was a jab at the responses in game 6.
No need to get smart. *Shakes fist *
well, some might call his position on Scola a bit extreme....![]()
Who says I was getting smart?
Club career is also very important. Not just Olympic one.

nice choke job in game 7
Which is good for the Greek professional players who have never experienced an Olympic or World championship.
I am confused at your "logic". According to Americans these compe ions "do not count". When Team USA loses them "it does not count".
Now all of a sudden it "counts"?
Greeks were told by ALL American fans 2006 World Championship win over Team USA "did not count". So why would Greeks be upset about not winning a tournament that "does not count"?
You were downplaying Scola's Olympic gold. Argentina, despite having a basketball tradition that (according to you) does not rival Greece, owns both a World Championship and an Olympic Championship while Greece has neither.
No I was not smartass. I was saying that I feel bad for him in his CLUB CAREER he may not get championship. No Euroleague and maybe no NBA. A player with his heart should get one. I was say NOTHING as you suggest. I know Scola has Spanish cups and Spanish championships but that is nothing special.
I wish for him to have Euroleague or NBA le because they are true championships. It has nothing to do with ing Argentina national team. Just like Diamantidis and Spanoulis winning Euroleague with PAO has nothing to ing do with them winning European championship with national team of Greece.
BTW European Championship = World Championship
It is the same level and importance to FIBA. It is of EQUAL championship and trophy in importance and difficulty. And Greece has TWO.
And again your English improves with your level of agitation. Also I thought you called for an end to insults. I have not insulted you or used any foul language in any response to your posts. May I expect an apology for your uncalled for rudeness?
Please read thread again. i tried and they made fun of me again. So it is off. I will not try to be nice because it gets me nowhere here. The only thing they understand is to be arrogant because that is how they all are.
You do realize that European championship is actually harder compe ion than the World championship right?
So you will be rude and arrogant even to those who are not rude to you, but merely disagree with your point of view?
