Sad but true
What's the difference? Your daughters will be ing their 40 year-old professors freshman year anyways.
I don't think George Hill's intentions are to get close to this girl physically in any way. He's just granting a fan's wish. I'm sure he ran by the Spurs before he granted her that wish and his assistant will be with them. Plus all the town will have their eys on those two.
what is lame is the mother of the girl rushing her to "get a dress" and all that "try to make him fall in love with you and we'll all be safe for the future" kinda tricks...![]()
that's sweet, but a little weird and creepy too
its pathetic to see all these conservative nerds on here whine about how its apparently 'so wrong' for a damn 18yr old to go to a dance with a 23 yr old...
there is NOTHING WRONG with that tiny age gap, give me a break.
i hope Hill s the out of her just to spite you uptight, prudish assholes.
If it was some 18 year old from a random high school, I think it would be a little strange. But it is his alma mater and she is a big fan of his. I have a daughter and I am pretty protective, but I would be fine with the situation if the cir stances were the same....if George was a star at her high school and she was a big fan of his.
Couple all of this with the fact that the local media will probably be covering this pretty closely and I seriously doubt anything inappropriate will happen.
the people saying this is weird or creepy, i'd hate to be your kid.
You need it for something?
how , why are you still pinked? You must have committed the ultimate sin.
I was going to mention that. George Hill has a full-time assistant who travels with him? Add that to the list of reasons why athletes go broke.
I hope that at least some of the people involved in this remember that it's her prom. And I hope Hill is smart enough to understand that even a hint of a scandal with a high school prom girl would pretty much ruin his NBA future anywhere except Denver.
As for the mom - I think George is taking a much bigger risk. Those parents down in Victoria were happy to let their teenage daughters go to a party with Ron Gant. And afterwards they acted like they were outraged, and filed charges which they tried to use to get a financial settlement. These people sound really nice. But God forbid that one of the girl's friends gives her alcohol (or anything else) while she is at the prom.
I hope, for eveybody's sake, that this turns out to be the nice thing it sounds like. Because it really does sound very nice. I could use a story that turns out good for a change.
Props to the Girl and props to George Hill.
Y'all are crazy if you think any part of this is wrong.
While I doubt that you deserve a serious reply for that:
LeBron James had two babies by the time he was George Hill's age. Most parents understand that it happens. But most, thankfully, still don't want to encourage it. And in 5-6 years, when you're as hold as George Hill is now, you'll understand that better.
I don't think so.
Hill has likely asked his assistant to go with him. His assistant reassure the girl's family and avoid some ugly things like the girl suing Hill.
HILL is going to get some vajayjay....
look, come touch this....
Come on, of course he has no other intentions, its just an act of good will! He does something good, the community will love him, media is focused on this and the girl gets a great time with her idol. Everyone is happy.
Kobe doesn't need an invitation just a chair and a white chick.
You guys are missing the point.
This is the safest date every she could have for prom. Why?
If you think she's going to get more than 30 seconds of dance time alone with George before 14 guys in tuxes sprint over to ask him about the NBA and the Spurs, you're joking.
"George... will you autograph my tux?"
"Can I ditch my date and come back to your place to watch Spurs video?"

Okay.George Hill is single. He's a young man. He's rich.
Alright.The girl is YOUNG.She's starstruck. She's naive.
Sounds like a recipe for creepiness to me. Why in the would he do this? Does he go visit young men who write to him? I doubt it. Let's all think back (guys) to what was on our mind all the time when we were that age. I'll give you a hint, it starts with a "P" and ends with a "Y".
And it would be easy as to ditch the assistant. You're the one who sounds naive to me Bruno
"Let's get back to playing smothering, soul crushing defense".
Oh yeah, and let's get back to dating adults(she's 18 but ain't no adult)
If they were 30 and 35 no one would care. I assume, though, if they were 11 and 16, then people would. The difference between a high school girl and a 23-year-old man who spent 4 years in college and played professional sports is vast.
I sure as would not let my teenage daughter attend her high school prom with a 23 year old Beno Udrih!!If the guy aint white, european, talks with an accent, and suck in the playoffs, ploto don't like em
News update:
The girl is now pregnant...![]()
