Game 1 of Olympiacos and Panathinaikos Greek Championships finals results in another riot. Game was at SEF the home arena of Olympiacos. Injuries and it seems maybe some deaths occur at game inside arena. Is being rumored already finals will be canceled.

WTF? Greeks take pride in the rivalries. This is not just about sports. it is about different groups of people in the culture. PAO fans come from the old elite culture of Athens. Olympiacos fans come from the working class immigrants that lived in the shipping area.
It is a war that is still being fought.
Well, their olympiacos - panathinaikos rivalry is big, bigger than any americans have ever seen. Same goes for the rest of the Balkans. Ive said it before, this part of europe is wild. And some fans even like it. They are taking it too far. You must understand that here most of the clubs have their die hard fan base coming from organized crime groups, ex commando's (Mostly in Former Yugoslavia) and hooligans.
Its a disgrace, for the sport, for everything...

Yeah, the Greeks may have started civilization but apparently some of them gave it up.
This isn't pride..this is idiocy. Spurs/Lakers, Lakers/Celtics, Cowboys/Redskins...those are rivalries also..you don't see riots and deaths at those games. Basically, it sounds to me like a bunch of people who have held a grudge for WAAAY too long.

Finals will not be canceled, of course. Propably Olympiacos will play without their supporters in game 3.
KBP is probably overreacting a bit. There were clashes in the game between olympiacos fan base and police, and they were throwing fireworks on to the panathinaikos bench. Most likely there will be just some punishment
