UFC's highly anticipated new video game, UFC 2009: Undisputed, is now available for the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 gaming consoles.
Here's Amazon.com's official synopsis of the game:

IGN.com's Nate Ahearn has reviewed the game and gave it a a 7.6/10 ("Good"). He had good things to say about the graphics and gameplay, but said the soundtrack and overall presentation of the game needs some work. His closing comments:
UFC 2009 Undisputed has its fair share of issues for an up-start franchise, but that doesn’t mean that UFC fans and non-fans alike won’t have fun with the game once they get the complexities figured out. The career mode is fun and well-designed, the combat is cool and visually engaging, and the classic fights mode is sure to please UFC aficionados. If THQ can fix the blemishes and speed things up quite a bit so the physicality and true athleticism of the sport can shine through, we could have a serious contender on our hands.

I've enjoyed it. The key is to treat it like the complex game it is instead of a typical boxing or fighting game. I found the game to be 100 times more entertaining as I learned how to engage on the ground.

I'm enjoying the out of career mode...undefeated so far, but about to fight Frank Mir...not looking forward to it..lol
im 17-2 in the career mode at middleweight only loses to damien maia lol those BJJ guys own me and online im 1-0 KO'd Mirko with Kongo
This game is pretty good. I don't own it but I played it yesterday (5/21), and haven't lost a match yet. It's hard to finish the submissions early. It's something about spinning the analog around that's annoying. But other than that, I very much enjoy it.
I'm happy that you cannot just take people down if they are prepared and defending. The knock out strikes are awesome because it's so real.
However, they may have made Chuck Liddell and Forest Griffin a little better than they really are.

Oh definetly I understand that as i've actually been successful in using submissions. But as real as the knockouts are that can happen at any moment, it should be the same for submissions.

anyone have it for the 360 that wants to play online?
5-2 online both loses came from GSP when i was Anthony Johnson, the rating has a big effect online gsp takes me down and just beats me then submits me and i cannot get up

I played 2 online matches and went 1-1 but the lag was terrible. It seems once someone mounts their oponent online, it's pretty much game over.
I'm digging career mode. I'm 9-0..just beat Frank Mir..my next opponent is Brock Lesnar. But my internet connection isn't good enough to play online. I tried to do it yesterday and it was HORRIBLE...REALLY late hits..lol
online is ed man, im 15-17 and i just KO'd Mir with the first punch of the fight with Lesnar 3 seconds into the first round

60 that is 70 lol and i would say no to honest wish i would have gotten the show 09 instead

haha sure, i said it isn't 60 dollars its 70$, and i wish i would have bought MLB instead of buying UFC its gotten boring already

yeah when amazon has it for $40 shipped I will get it for sure.
I just bought it for 60 yesterday. pretty sick game. The ground game is difficult though.
I haven't bought a video game system since my old Playstation broke on me like 10 years ago..
But i was in Best Buy last night, played the game there and it is awesome. Bought an Xbox today and the game. Very tough to play on the ground right now and i gotta start playing with fighters not named GSP..
Hey that classic fight section, where you get to try and recreate what happened in the fight is sweet. Unlocks a video highlight package if you do it. But the best part is Rac e Lea introducing the pre-fight video to you, wearing one tight, hot outfit to the next..
yeah thats the hardest part for me aswell but a lot of the time i get taken down and i sub them so it works out fine
