Parents wont do that. They do not even want to think about their kids getting sexual active, even when they crossed the age of 18, lets not even think about putting them on birth control at 13...
Why doesn't every parent put their kid on birth control? The government should step in and make the kid get on some sort of birth control. Make it a law when the kid turns 13. When the kid is 18 they can do what ever they want.
Teen pregnancy is a problem. Making birth control a law would solve alot of problems and save the tax payers money. Also will help with all the abortions people are having. It's a simple solution. I say either a IUD or hormone shot. Of course every parent should show them what a sexual disease looks like. It will make u wear a condom, even discourage sex.

If it's your kid go right ahead.
But, if I raise my kids right (and I don't have kids and I don't plan on it in the near future) this won't be a problem. It's a moral issue for so many people. I understand your rant. It's lame that teen pregnancy is such a huge problem.
However, I wasn't one of those kids that needed to "be on birth control" and if the government said I had to be because "everyone was doing it" but I wasn't I would be seriously pissed the off. Even if it did mean I didn't have nasty cramps.
Unless, you're going for the argument that "no sex" only sex education is lame..I agree 1000% because obviously not everyone is like me and the couple other people in the planet who didn't get laid in high school.
double post.
That's just it. Most of the parents say for sure their kids wont do things like that and that it will not be necessary. They just dont believe this could happen to any of their kids. Thats why i think that parents wont do that. They dont want to think about it, and they dont want to believe that their kids also have a chance in having teen pregnancy just because they 'know' their kid wont do it.
If you have a daughter, don't allow her to go to parties without you, don't allow them to go to the mall without you, don't allow them to have boys over in the house.
Problem solved.
Stop leaving your children unattended and maybe they won't get the chance to do this before 18.
I wonder if you would be singing the same tune if the males had to be forced to ingest hormones that have side effects on their health.
Pump hormones into young girls bodies? Great idea
The already get enough estrogen analogues from plastics and various endocrine disruptors.
sons I say boycott horse like MTV from your house until the kid is 18... oh and here is another idea ... don't be afraid to whip that ass every now and then and actually PUNISH your child.... and I don't mean just take away their cell phone at age 12.... lol kids with cell phones so young.... ing parents these days.... and they wonder why their kids are degenerates.
I was laid many times in high school
I double posted a lot in high school
Very simple. Birth control hormones s up a girls natural development. No teen should be on any chemical/hormone birth control until after she's well past puberty, and preferable after the first child.
Oh, I used to be this idealistic about my kids, too. Guys, I was raised "right" and my parents nearly always knew exactly where I was and who I was with -and I still managed to have sex way too early without my parents ever suspecting. If there's one thing I've wised up about in the past few years, it's that you can't afford to be naive about what your kids are currently doing or are going to do in the future.
birth control, pull out when you get that tingling feeling and feeling weak in the knees....
True but there are all sorts of birth control you can try. IUD and hormone shots have the best stats. I would start with them. Someone said something about how I would feel if guys had to be on birth control.haha. Every guy I know or ever known would be thrilled if they had a pill or a shot to take.
My wife and I do a good job with our kid. She is 6 so I have along ways to go but if I am not breaking any laws I want to give her the shot in the arm. The one that works for 5 years. I'll give her that at age 13 and it will be easier for me to sleep at night. I am not worried now but who knows what crowd she will run with, what she will be like but I do know I hear about to much ing and pregnant teens than I ever had. I graduated in 90 and only one girl was pregnant her senior year and she did not have the baby until fall after she graduated.
I say raise them right. Instill responsibility in them in general. It will carry on into sexual activity as well. I think if you give such a shot, pills, etc, they will assume you are giving them, permission. Feeling safer, they may skip protection like condoms and catch an STD. Maybe Herpes, or worse yet, AIDS!
Responsibility is key. Had no worries with my daughters. They are now 24 and 21.
Very few doctors will put an IUD in a woman who has never carried a child because it's easier for the device to dislodge. Also, any complications with IUDs (dislodging, infection, etc) can mean that a girl is stuck with pelvic inflammatory disease for the rest of her life. If a copper IUD is used and the girl has a nickel allergy (extremely common) then allergic reactions and inflammation can ensue.
The shot has its own set of complications, and you can't make a hormonal device mandatory because there are too many people who experience adverse affects with them. Anyone with undiagnosed blood or clotting disorders could be putting their lives in danger by getting on them - one of my friends almost died on the pill when she developed blood clots in her lungs due to an undiagnosed blood disorder.
It's a pretty ridiculous suggestion to make birth control mandatory - I understand the sentiment behind it, but that is not the answer.
the real question is
since when did it become OK for young teenagers to have sex?
the country's cultural standards are going down the hole.
You really want a pill that lowers your sex drive?
exactly
pfff
Jesus ing Christ! there are some neanderthal, ignorant mother ers posting in this thread. I feel sorry for your daughters.
Then again, it is jack sommerset and miamiheat we're talking about...
You should pick another thread to come after me. I'm talking about preventing 13-14-15-16-17 year old girls getting pregnant. Talking about it doesn't stop it. It certainly helps. The U.S has the highest percentage of teenage pregnancies when compared to other counties of similar status. 40 teens out of a 1000 get pregnant. These teens generally donot finish High School. That usually means welfare. These babies grow up in poverty and donot have the healthcare a child should have. There are approximately 700 kids a day in our country having abortions. I am on the fence when it comes to abortions. I believe in womens right to choose but the older I get it sickens me to think a baby is killed before it even has a chance. Feel sorry for yourself you stupid . Ignorant parents say " my kid knows better" or just don't give a damn. Neither of which I do.
Forty years ago? Yeah, that's it. 1969, the summer of love.
