BTW Orion, I was really wishing I had your number last night (no not for that), cuz my son's club team almost had to forfeit 2 games because their coach was stuck in Atlanta and couldn't get back in time. The league has strict rules about the younger kids divisions coaches but never had this situation with the older guys. So since these guys are 15-17yrs old they told them they could have a subs ute coach on the bench and it was a mad scramble for us. I must have made 30 calls between 5-6pm for a 6:30 game. Finally I got someone's brother to agree to sit in as coach and I kept the stats. They were a bit disorganized and lost the first game, but got it together enough to win the second game.

I can be the bad guy, but for some reason everyone else happens to be gadflies. I do me, I don't claim to be that guy, and they all give explanations when I ask why. See that's what I thought, but no. I was the only one willing to take on any of it but I can't coach, even though the team is experienced enough to get by. The 2 games were rescheduled from some other place and ended up being at Bradley Middle School.
