Treat the root problem, not the symptom. This nation has had degrading moral values for years. That is what needs fixing.
I agree.
Problem is, too many people, and often a majority, want policies that they don't understand. I find it irresponsible to advocate policies that one is ignorant of the side effects!
Stupid thread!
Wanting to enforce responsibility, but being irresponsible...
Treat the root problem, not the symptom. This nation has had degrading moral values for years. That is what needs fixing.
That's our society. The responsible ones are paying for the irresponsible ones so we should have a say. If scientist develope a perfect birth control method with no chance of any side effects would you consider all teens being on it?
Birth Control can have bad side effects. A lot of people I know who take it have had their blood pressure go up (which is a possible side effect of birth control). Since everyone in my family has high blood pressure, I am obviously not going to use birth control. I think that parents should start talking to kids early enough about protections and birth control options. Nobody can be forced to use to use a certain type of birth control when htere are so many out there these days.
No. Never in a wholesale fashion. Problem is, you are either telling your children "I don't trust you" or telling them "go ahead now, you're safe."
Isn't part of teaching trust, using trust? Aren't some of the best lessons taught by having to live with the burden?
Of course but that doesn't happen to every person. We our killing over 36,000 babies every year by giving teens abortions in our country. Again I am on the fence about this but no one can convince me from the time of conception that is not a baby growing in the womb. Talk about it and get the teen birth control.
As for my child I am saying "don't have sex" and " happens" If scientist figured out away to have a safe birth control with zero chance at side effects wouldn't you consider giving every teen it.
No, because they shouldn't be having sex so young.
What do you consider young? I believe at 17 you're eligible for the death penalty and have to choice of dropping out of school..18 you can die for your country..if I'm 17 years old and I want some pussy no one has the right to stop me.
Yup but thats not stopping everyone. Get this ed up A few months ago a friend of ours who teaches elementary caught two 3rd grade boys sucking each other s in the bathroom. ing 3rd grade boys!! They did get suspended. I did not ask how long but how would you as a parent handle that phone call. " Um Mr Heat, your 3rd grade son was blowing another 3rd grade boy in the bathroom and we have no chioce but to suspend him." Kids , in this case it was two boys but you get the point!
Ahh the "coitus interuptus" method. (Yes there is an actual name)
17 is OK for me
16 is borderline, depends on the person but generally not ok
13,14,15 is not ok
wow that's bad. yeah I get your point. it is a good one
I think the problem rests with exposure. kids spending free time on the internet where they can see all the XXX porn that would make our grandmother's blush.
they get exposed to it and obviously they copy it. our society is going down the hole with 'sexual freedom' crap on the television like MTV and junk. they can talk about blowjobs, 69's, etc on regular tv
A guy dating a stripper is going to get on his high horse and about other peoples' sexual morals?
You know, I had a few long paragraphs that I just erased. I'll leave it at this...
Are you a got? Don't you like watching graceful, beautiful women, with little to no clothes?
I am so ing tired of lowlifes like you, Clambake, and others needlessly attacking, just to attack. This is not longer grade school.
Wait... maybe you are in the first grade... I don't know.

I'm not attacking to attack; I'm calling you out as a ing hypocrite. I like strip clubs too; I think there's nothing wrong with people wanting to go and . Yet you somehow have a problem with that in your whining about our allegedly decaying moral values. On one hand you demonize sex and on the other you brag about your stripper conquests; it's lame as to pull the 'do as I say and not as I do' card.
Sterilizing girls in families that make less than 100k a year sounds like a better idea. Why is this thread even taken seriously?
demonize UNDER AGE sex
not sex between strippers and adults. female adult entertainment is one of the oldest professions on planet earth. how could he be talking about 'degrading moral values' when this sort of thing has been going on everywhere for a long time?
nice try :P
Look, I know you're jealous that I like women instead and that I won't let you suck my . Can we stick at the topic at hand?
I don't demonize sex. I don't brag about dancers. I make a post that I understand certain things and you get your panties in a wad.
Why don't you mind your own business?
I bet his stripper is on birth control.
Man vs Nature, nature's gonna win unless we blow up the planet first.
Giving every girl birth control is a foolish idea. Because it removes consequence, using your own judgment. You won't have to think, weigh, consider.
What's to say this won't be a reason for them to have sex more frequently and with many more partners?
Ah girl you're so pretty it's okay, you can't get pregnant right?
We don't need a condom, I want to feel you papi, I can't have a baby.
We as culture created this climate, this false world of what life could be, where girls are damned and used for their sexuality.
You don't want teens having sex, then teach them, build them up.
Show an interest in a girls welfare instead of just her body.
Teach boys to be gentlemen, not thugs and gangsters.
Seems to me that unilaterally enforcing birth control for teens goes against nature and is a social issue, and society is made up of individuals with different value systems.
Why else would humans be capable of having children at such an early age?
For a young girl who has not had a chance to mature more than on a physical level, this obviously re s her growth personally. Instead of spending her time learning about herself and life whereas she only has herself to think of, now she is responsible for the care of another, that came directly from her body.
I would not want my daughter having to go through this. I can't even begin to fathom such an intimate relation at a period in my life where I am transitioning from being oblivious to the world to realizing that I have an iden y and the dawning of the magnitude of existence.
Throw in the general awkwardness created by society, from classmates to images, to love or the lack of it from parents, and people are in such a vulnerable state.
I live in San Antonio I see so many girls already with that light snuffed out in their eyes and it breaks my heart I don't know, because they are already wise to men, they move timid and shy, almost apologetic they have had a baby, shamed for something that should be a joy, and some are so exceptionally attractive that I have thoughts that are baser and that's the nature in me conflicting with nobler ideals, then I get angry at unseen guy who did this to her, because he couldn't control his hunger and mad at her because she wasn't strong enough, and she's the one that takes the brunt of the suffering.
It sounds so simple, but if we just treated each other better so much suffering in the world would disappear.
I'm not sure man as a race is built like that.
But one day nature will produce someone like that again.
Then what the do you mean talking about our alleged degrading moral values with respect to teen pregnancy? How are you not demonizing sex? You're just a bag looking down on people who want the same ing thing you want.
it's because you reveal yourself in nearly every post.
you about people on welfare.....AND YOU WERE RAISED ON WELFARE.
you start a thread basically asking what's wrong with stalking women on the internet.
you rejoiced when soldiers that opposed the war were killed.
you spend all your time and money in strip joints, and take the pictures to prove it.
and your ex-wife HAS to be the happiest person alive.
I guess you don't understand "age appropriate."
