The president lost his patience with Boykins
Claudio Sabatini, president of Virtus Bologna, after Game 4 of Italian playoffs got rid of former NBA Earl Boykins, as confirmed by Gazzetta dello Sport.
"I am pissed off with Earl. It is his fault if we have to play three games away in the series. He committed the foul against Bulleri during a three point shot in the regular season. Without that foul Virtus now would have played three games in Bologna. Moreover Earl's performances in Treviso damaged us. Virtus played better with him on the bench" said Sabatini who added that coach Boniciolli could leave him out. "Koponen can play more. He is our future (he has a four year deal with Bologna). With Earl I lost my patience".
Boykins is the most paid player in Serie A.

Stats don't seem that bad. If the President got pissed off and dumped him because of a couple of mistakes, that's completely ignorant.
I'm sure he'd dump the rest of his team, too, but for the inconveniencing fact that nobody has ever heard of any of them and consequently the announcement would carry no impact.
I always found it very funny to see him next to big tall nba players.

So...just because someone was drafted by some team in some year, which only a couple of these guys actually were, that doesn't mean we're going to know who the they are. But besides Boykins, NONE of them would have a PRAYER on an NBA team. And Boykins averages more points than Papaloukas does in Greece going by your stats, and they're both Euroleague, so I wouldn't exactly say he didn't make it in Italy.

He was the team's best player..only one close to him was Langford, who was one of the Spurs worst players ever.
