See that's what I thought, but no. I was the only one willing to take on any of it but I can't coach, even though the team is experienced enough to get by. The 2 games were rescheduled from some other place and ended up being at Bradley Middle School.

Its not hard to be a coach if you can't play. I get frustrated easy because I assume people I'm playing with understand the ABC's of basketball so I do not try and coach. Then when someone does something dumb I get frustrated. Kids are hard to coach because I take basketball serious and if they don't take it serious they will not learn.

There's 8 boys on the team and maybe only 2 are just messing around. Most have been playing for quite a bit. Of course my son is the most knowledgeable and serious about the game.

He is serious but willing to learn? I tried to teach my nephews some things who I though was serious and they didn't seem to care so I just stopped wasting my time. That was a couple years they are 16 know and may want to learn.

Oh we went thru the "coaches don't know anything period" but he learned real fast and that was very early on. The biggest difference came in playing on school teams. The uncoachable kids just don't last too long. He can be a pretty stubborn kid, but it works to his advantage because he doesn't give up. He also doesn't have patience for people who don't take it seriously.

He needs to drop that stubborn crap. Ask questions and play with older players.

Yea well he'll be aging out of his club league this summer so we'll be looking for something. I'd loveto have him play with some older guys but he's only 15, so I'll need to check out age requirements.

Let him play at any rec center and tell him to not call fouls because he will get fouled every time. If he wants to get better he needs to play with people that are better and smarter than him.
