Well, it's not like this team doesn't need some help at the SG/SF position. I'd be more inclined to think that they're trying to address that need than that they're looking to deal what talent they have at the guard/wing positions.
According to the Spurs workout schedule, they are working out with alot of guards. Makes me think Pop maybe is actually looking to trade away Parker/Manu...or Hill/Mason.
There are 0 workouts for the C posistion.
hmm.

someone mentioned trading parker for d.rose and another player.
I think that would be great
Why on Earth would Chicago do that? An extremely talented point guard on a rookie contract for the next several years in exchange for a slightly better player on a bigger contract with an even bigger payday awaiting strikes me as a pretty irrational deal to make.
I agree.... Good Call.....
Chicago would be pretty dumb to pull the trigger on that.
Who else would we target for Parker? a big?
as already argumented a million time why the spurs would want to trade TP ? He is one of the best quality price proven guy in the league.
Never mind the fact that Rose is the beloved hometown kid in Chicago.
Maybe it says they have confidence in sum of the wings they've already drafted (i.e. Sanikidze, Gist, Hairston, etc)![]()
Parker isn't going anywhere. Unless you're rebuilding, you don't trade away the best thing your team has going for it.
For the record, Tim and Manu aren't going anywhere either, but we've got to give the chuckleheads something to rant about during the summer.
Parker is not going to be traded; not the way he has been playing for us. Pop and the FO would be crazy to trade Parker. He is one of the top 3 PG in the NBA today... would be dumb to trade him. If anything they might be looking to move Mason and/or Hill. I do not see them trading Manu either; cuz the Spurs know they would have many disgruntled fans...also I imagine they will give Manu another season since he will be healthy next season.
I can really see Mason being traded before Hill though; Pop likes Hill. Hopefully they are looking at getting rid of Finley, Vaughn, & Bonner...probably Bowen too...
that would be dumb of chicago but i would do it
again someone with the brilliant idea to trade parker. Why the would you trade Parker????!!!!! He is the best the Spurs have right now and one of the best in the league. Thats digging your own grave.
I can understand people saying to trade manu, mason, etc.. but parker? :P
you wouldn't trade parker for rose?
I seriously doubt anyone has a complete list of Spurs workout attendees.
First, the workout list is far from being exhaustive. Spurs have worked out players that aren't in that list.
Second, whoever Spurs will draft at #37, this player will likely spend his rookie year overseas or in Austin. The drafted player will have no influence on Spurs future rotation.
even if it's my boy danny green![]()
don't get me wrong, I love parker.
But when your PG has the most PPG, something is wrong.
Yeah, the Spurs are going to replace Parker with a #37 pick.
Smokescreen?![]()
To trade Parker for Rose now is questionable: familiarity with the Spurs system, chemistry, maturity given the closing Duncan window...
The center position isn't very deep in this years draft. There are about ten draft eligible centers. Thabeet and Mullens are expected to go in the first round. After that there is a big drop. Heytvelt and Kravtsov are projected to go in the late second round. There is still time for the Spurs to work out some of them.
Of course I would not!!!![]()
what is our best chance to give Tim a fifth ring ? a rookie talented pg or a young proven all star ?
