I think he's suspended for Game 5 then right?
That's 3 flagrant fouls...
Edit: Updated in post #15.
Jones’ trip of Kobe earns him a reprimand
Arnie Stapleton
A day later, the NBA blew the whistle on Dahntay Jones for tripping Kobe Bryant.
The league assessed Denver’s defensive specialists a flagrant-1 foul for sending the Lakers’ star sprawling through the lane with a trip late in the third quarter that Bennett Salvatore’s officiating crew missed.
Los Angeles coach Phil Jackson complained about Jones’ “unacceptable defense, tripping guys and playing unsportsmanlike basketball” during a rant about the officiating.
Jackson’s rip on Jones came after Los Angeles fell 120-101 to Denver to tie the Western Conference finals at 2.

Dr. ,
You, Phil and Derek Swisher are not in the clear yet.
Players who exceed three flagrant-foul points during the playoffs receive an automatic one-game ban. Jones' ledger is at two points after two earlier flagrant fouls this postseason and would rise to three should the league office reclassify Monday's trip as a Flagrant 1.
He's pretty much been a non factor in every game
Hopefully he'll make his next flagrant worth the coming suspension. We need a good old-fashioned hip check or a Bruce Bowen style kung-fu face-kick in this series.
Key word is 'exceed'.
He'll sit right at 3 points.
Next is a suspension.
WOW!!!!
League jus showin how much they suck the flakers !!
Had it been the other way around nothing woulda happend!!
This is BULL !
The right call would be a technical for the trip.
Jones on the floor is a plus for LA. Less JR Smith, more Jones.
Good Call by the NBA.
Intentionally tripping a player is definitely a flagrant.
I guarantee early foul trouble in game 5. Something reminiscent of game 2 I believe where Jones had four fouls in the first 6 minutes or something. Absurd.
I wonder if it had anything to do with Jackson going off to the reporters... check out the article here.
Some conversation about Jackson's 'unsportsmanlike' comments here:

""Just playing hard," Jones said. "If he can't respect it, I'm sorry. I'm trying to be aggressive and give it all I have out there. My teammates appreciate it."
Especially Kenyon Martin, who has also been accused of dirty play.
"You're a dirty player now. Welcome. It's an elite club being considered one of those," Martin said when told about Jackson's comments."
Phil should just send mBenga out and lay the wood on Billups when he drives; "Just playing hard"![]()

Denver's Jones assessed flagrant foul for tripping
The National Basketball Association assessed Denver's Dahntay Jones a flagrant foul on Tuesday, a day after he tripped Lakers star Kobe Bryant in game four of the Western Conference finals.
The match officials, which Denver won 120-101 didn't call a foul on the play, which had Lakers coach Phil Jackson fuming after the game.
"Just unacceptable defense," Jackson called Jones's move, "tripping guys and playing unsportsmanlike basketball."
Jackson said he believed Jones tripped Bryant deliberately.
"It's not the first time it has happened in this series."
Bryant didn't go as far.
"I just fell on my face for no reason," he said when asked if he thought he was tripped. "I'm a klutz."
Denver's victory tied the best-of-seven series at two games apiece, with the Lakers to host game five on Wednesday.
Meanwhile the league rescinded a flagrant foul called against Orlando guard Andrew Johnson for elbowing Cleveland's Mo Williams in game three of the Eastern Conference finals on Sunday.
The incident occurred in the second quarter of Orlando's victory, when Johnson drove the lane and stuck out his elbow, striking Williams near the left eye.
Williams, who required four s ches, was called for a blocking foul, and Johnson was assessed a flagrant foul.
The Magic took a 2-1 series lead into game four on Tuesday.
Why do you do that in almost all your posts? Do you like work for NBA.com in getting them views or something?
So tripping is a flagrant but kneeing and elbowing Shane Battier in the face when they are on the ground is not?
You could argue that it wasn't intentional on Kobe's part. Here's, it's pretty clear there was intention.
Yup. Kobe was getting up, you do put your knee forward when you stand up.
OK, now you've officially amazed me; seriously. I'm here almost every day and I totally missed that![]()
What about your elbows?
You watch this and tell me that it was not intentional. This is clean basketball? This is not over the line?
![]()
Which one? The one to Artest's chest was definitely intentional and I think a flagrant.
The one that was part of the Battier knee was also unintentional. Kobe kneed Battier, Battier got pissed and pushed up hard. Kobe lost his balance, fell forward and hit him in the head again. You can see in the vid that after he got kneed in the head, Battier kind of shot up.
I don't think so, it could be intentional but I don't think so. You see Battier's ass go upwards, that puts Kobe's momentum forward.
And if you look Kobe's leaned almost entirely over and he's cupping the ball...he has no balance.
