Battier is supposed to just lay there and take it
Where does he "get up hard"
Allanon you are quite possibly the ridiculous human ever known.
Battier is supposed to just lay there and take it
Where does he "get up hard"
Just being objective, DPG.
htf is that tripping?
wtf was kobes leg doing there in the first place fkn flopper
Blaming Shane for that is not being objective. Watching that video you cannot say Kobe did not intentionally knee and elbow Shane in the face and the head. Plenty of people have been tangled up and no contact is ever made like that.
Nah, just the wrong place at the wrong time.
I'd be pissed if I got kneed in the head...but his getting pissed also got him the elbow.
Look at his ass, he pushes up which leans Kobe forward even more...Kobe can't brace himself and falls back down on Battier. Check out Kobe's arm, he has nothing to lean onto cuz he's holding the ball. Falling forward is a normal reaction...if Kobe wasn't holding the ball, it probably would have been a hand plant on Battier's head instead of an elbow.
Point is, that was just as bad as the tripping. ing and moaning by the Lakers and Phil is out of line when you have guys who do the same thing. The league was wrong in assessing a flagrant.
A technical I could see, but not a flagrant.
Why couldn't Kobe just roll off him gently? Or just wait on his knees and lift his arms back and let Shane slide out?
To imply Shane had anything to do with it is 75 win ecstasy.
Nah, like I said, it's possibly intentional, but may as easily have been unintentional momentum. If Shane just layed there while Kobe was getting up, he wouldn't have gotten elbowed. But he kind of threw Kobe off his back which got him an elbow to the head.
Dahntay Jones was clearly beat on the play, he decided to reach way out for the trip.
One is definitely intentional, the other one nobody knows.
Kobe was still cupping the ball with his arm, so he didn't really have balance. He put his knee forward to stand up and unintentionally hit Battier in the head.
Battier reacted violently and that got him the elbow.
How do you know that it was intentional? Are you in his mind? Many people when they get beat and have their body going 1 direction and their mind going another stick out their limbs to keep from losing balance.
If Kobe would not have gone a different direction, he would not have been tripped.
They need to do away with all these flagrant/technical foul BS.
Just let these guys play.
I'm getting tired of everyone analyzing and overanalyzing every little POS play.
You sir, are quite possibly the most ridiculous human being known to man.
You suck.
Why did Kobe have to stand up so fast? Why could he not have just waited or rolled the opposite direction of Shanes head? Why could he not have just waited in this position:

Players get off the ground; its a part of the game. Notice the elbow comes at the exact second that Kobe's right foot is off the ground.
Kobe was standing on one leg when he delivered the elbow to the head.
You always copy me, why are Laker fans so unoriginal? I was making fun of you and your explanation. If you thought that sounded ridiculous, it just mirrored your serious post about the Kobe/Shane incident.
I just switched around some words. It is weird when you hear yourself sound ridiculous is it not?
You are acting like that was his only option of getting up for the rest of the game. He had to get up and knee/elbow Battier, there was no other options?
Getting tripped and fouled is part of the game.
You have good material, I apply it when it serves my purpose.
This sounds like your phantom Kobe elbow to Artest's throat argument.
lol 75 win ecstasy
lol Memphis playoff team this year
lol OKC playoff team this year
lol Minny playoff team this year
lol Shane's fault
lol lose a game and it might change you mind about a sweep
Might as well get all of 'em
1) Lakers will win the West by a large margin
2) Lakers wiil beat the Jazz
3) Lakers will beat the Rockets
4) Kobe did not elbow Artest in the throat (no suspension)
5) Kobe did not intentionally knee/elbow Battier (no suspension)
6) Cavs will have their hands full with the Magic
7) Lakers will beat the Nuggets
8) Lakers will be champs
Nope, that sounds like you failed your anatomy and physiology class. I said Kobe's elbow was aimed at Ron's high chest/low throat area.
Then Allanon says: "what, you might as well say high chest/balls area". Because clearly on the human body, the ball sack and throat are equidistant from the chest.
Kobe did throw an intentional bow, but once again it was Ron's chest/throat in the way of a normal basketball move by Kobe.
Give me a minute, I'll go get you the throat quote.
Owned.
