wtf? how is it fixed. melo got 13 ft. it was 35-30 ft advantage for lakers. what is wrong? its not like when the nuggets got 45 . missing 11 shots in a row in the 4th quarter was what doomed them

You can't ---Lakers getting all the calls. I think Nene picked up a foul during a timeout. Gasol.....1 foul for THE WHOLE GAME.
nuggets missed open looks. especially JR smith and kleza. they had like 5 to's in a roll in the 4th. they were rattled. lakers got some home cooking from the refs like the nuggets did in game 4, but thats not the reason nuggets lost. they dont have the mental capacity to win a big game. at least not yet.

there were questionable calls and non calls that didnt go in the lakers favor either but it was a tied game going into the 4th and the nuggets started out with 4 or 5 straight turnovers. they beat themselves

He is not shutting him down

    Billups is taking bad decisions
Billups was bad in the 4th quarter tonight. He bordered on horrible at times. It wasn't totally on Brown's defense, but Brown did ing play his ass off on him.

I'd take TP over him any day of the week.

Its not about the free throw attempts thats what some of you need to get right.. Its about the crucial momentum changing calls.. The refs know how to hide their biasness by awarding fouls, but when it counts, when he game is on the line, lakers are getting the calls. The NBA is officially starting to become a joke.

That's because Kobe's been in the league a lot longer. I think this is his 12th or 13th season. Bron's been here for like 5. Kobe is definitely the better FT shooter and has a better JS but he wasn't that good a shooter when he first came in. Give Bron more time and he'll improve both his JS and FT. He's already improved this season.
I think the FT shooting will follow him throughout his career, and possibly even the jumpshooting. The thing that he has on his side is that he can get to the rim pretty effectively (even when he isn't doing it illegally), though the Magic have had him bottled up at the end of games pretty well when he's gotten down there. Time will tell whether or not he progresses to another level of closing.

Well that's what I say in 2006. Mavs got all the critical free throws against the Spurs in the 4th quarter. That's how momentum is changed. You do it in the 4th with the game on the line.

Last season in game 1 Vs Lakers Manu and Lamar both go after the loose ball and somehow it was a foul on Manu when the game was on the line and both go there at about the same time. Why was that not a no call?

Look at this game for example. There were several possessions where Kobe turned the ball over or pulled up for a bad shot. Kobe has his fair share of bad plays down the stretch too.
He still managed to provide point blank opportunities for himself and his teammates at the rim to put the game away as the game shortened.

What about the lane violation by Smith in game 2? Or how about the trip by Martin on Trevor right after that? Lakers could've won that game had the refs not blown that.

Overall, and in general, the refs have been horrid. This is one of the worst officiated PO's thus far.

@ Kobe claiming decoy. Decoys don't turn the ball over seven times. Not even Kobe himself can admit that he doesn't need to play that well at home to win games in the playoffs because his team is stacked.

I see where Kobe Fan gets it from.
Kobe never does anything right in your eyes huh?

Bron did that in game 1 for his teammates, hit the game winning shot in game 2, forgot what happened in game 3, and kept his team in the game in game 4 as well.

He's struggled down the stretch of a few of those games, especially from the line and with his shot. I said earlier that his scoring kept his team in the game, but some of his play failed them....and it's obvious the guys around him have more than failed the team/organization.

Kobe also struggled today down the stretch but his teammates helped him out. He also missed a few crucial FTs in the 4th in game 3 as well. I think you can cut Lebron some slacks since he has to do everything for his team. Eventually he'll get fatiqued and start missing shots down the stretch.

    Let's just agree to disagree

Well, we both said we'd take Kobe to close things out, so all the rest is just filler.

Actually, I prefer Kobe to close things out at the line. It's a tossed up at this point between Kobe and Lebron to close the game out for me in other aspects.

I think I said Kobe has a better jumper and FT. But I don't recall saying I preferred his JS in the closing quarter. It's a toss between Kobe shooting the shot and Lebron penetrating for either a layup/foul or setup an open look for his teammates.

Well, with the calls Bron's been getting down the stretch I guess I couldn't blame you there, though they both tend to draw enough attention to get others open.

Even without the favorable foul calls it's still a toss up for me. It's a higher % shot when you can drive and create either for yourself or for your teammate. Kobe settles for the shot more often than he looks to create. I will give him credit though because he has been looking to set up his teammate a few times this year for the last shot.

I'd still put the ball in the hands of the guy who I generally have more confidence at the line in the event he does get fouled. Kobe is usually better at targeting a spot and taking a shot that for him is high percentage.
