    Game 6 of the 2003 WCSF, as some of you have already mentioned. Nice dig at the Hornets, though--even though this is a Lakers-Spurs thread.

    Quite frankly, the Lakers own the Spurs in head-to-head match-ups. Taking shots at other teams won't change that fact.
    I did not know what you were referring to

    Los Angeles is in Califorina, which is a state in the USA, that also is home to Minneapolis, that is known for its many lakes, which is where the current Lakers got their name, which led to 14 les with Kevin Bacon in the stands with the chick from Closer on TNT.

    I love how Lakerfan feels so emotionally attached to a team they like only through success.

    It doesn't make any logical sense.

    Until you realize the extent to which they are grasping at straws.

    They're so traumatized and filled with laker hate that they'll try to frame arguments in bizarre ways in order to try to make themselves feel superior.

    They know they lose the who's better argument. So they tell themselves that making the finals and losing is worse than being first round fodder.

    They know they can't play the history card with us either. So they invent arbitrary time lines like "3 rings to none since 2003 fakerzzz! ZOMG! PWNED!!"

    Now they have been reduced to jumping from bandwagon to bandwagon of whatever team we play in each round. Hoping against hope that SOMEONE will beat us... because we all know the Spurs can't do it. And then they have the nerve to call laker fans insecure about the Spurs? I think that's what psychologists call projecting.

    That's just about every sport fan base.

    How avid will the Spurs fan base be when Duncan is retired and the Spurs go through a few lottery years? Will there still be Spurs fans? Sure. Will it be the same as the last 10 years? Not even close. Success breeds fandom. It's no complicated formula.

    I am glad to see LA education has provided basic math skills, while in San Antonio we have graduated to higher levels of thinking by using deductive reasoning.

    I will explain. The point was not to look at the initial layer, lower level of basic thinking (the math). It was to illustrate that the argument the Spurs fans are using to compare themselves with the Lakers has to do with relevant history.

    Tim Duncan is still playing, so is Kobe. So comparing their body of work is a natural thing amongst fans today. Comparing Duncan to a team that started winning les in a different city in the 50's is not really applicable.

    So although your education in LA has provided you the basic fundamental learning tools, they have failed in helping you obtain what we call "next level" thinking that separates us from apes and monkeys.

    The difference is that many fans here were fans way before the Spurs won les.

    Just a shot in the dark here...but i'd put money on Jacko being a Bulls fan circa 1995.

    LOL at them associating a bunch of ' les' won by a completely distinct organization from a different city across the country back in the ing 1940's (lol) and '50's whilst there were 5 teams in the 'league' and the same contender ever year- with the current Los Angeles Lakers franchise and team. especially when the spurs werent even around back then in any form

    9 les Since the salary cap was introduced is the most of any NBA franchise. 9 les is also the second most of any franchise in NBA history other than the Celtics.

    What is worse Laker "fans", Spurs fans obsession with the Lakers or the Lakers obsession with being second place to the Celtics or Laker "fans" obsession with Kobe trying to catch Jordan?

    its alot easier to win les when the commisioner and the league are rooting for you and gives you a helping hand whenever times get rough.

    'its ok we will swallow our whistles'
    'lets fix game 6 so they have to go back and win in LA'
    'here Kobe, have Gasol for free' - LOL

    if the this spurs team was given the help you guys get we would have won 5 straight from '03 to '07

    Uh, No. I am afraid you are wrong good fellow.
    Here we go again with math class.

    1999 IS PART OF THE 90's o.k?
    In this new decade (the 00's) we have:

    Spurs = 3
    Lakers = 3

    Nice try in attempting to insert that '99 le in this current run.
    It ain't happening. We are both tied.
    I'm sorry..but if we're going by the last decade, which we have been..that's 10 years...10 years goes back to 1999. Why wouldn't it count? Because the Spurs won in 1999? But even if it was even, the OP is still completely ignorant for saying that we should fear LA.

    It's a lot easier to build a championship team when you have a HOF center get injured and your team wins the lottery another HOF center is the #1 overall pick.

    Come on now. Laker fans are annoying, but there are just as many Spurs fans that are simply hating on the Lakers out of spite.

    No disrespect intended JamStone..you know I respect you, but the OP is a Laker fan that just decided to start a thread to remind himself that the Lakers did better than the Spurs..that's complete and total obsession. It's pretty bad. I don't hate the Lakers..never have. I don't like a lot of the players on the Lakers, but I do believe Kobe is the best player in the league. It's the FANBASE that irritates the out of me. They're not all bad. Allanon isn't bad..and there's a couple more, but a lot of these guys are frontrunners that don't even show their face until the Lakers start winning. When they lose, they disappear.
