They don't have enough offensively and I argued that, but everybody countered my argument with "Defense wins championships."

Many people didn't buy the hype.

The problem is that they didn't play lockdown D like some championship teams do.

Just bad matchups, just like the dallas series in 2007.

no. They played garbage against good teams, and they would have been owned by the Lakers in four.

When was the last time the best team in the NBA was a second from being swept?

I dont know about that but I never believed in them or the magic either without Jameer ...But Magic proved me wrong Cavs could not.
As for the cavs I told many in here it was fool's gold!
Many in here are fans of Western teams and KNOW that the West is tougher than the East ...but all i heard was how the Cavs would destroy the Lakers if we met in the Finals ...because they play Spur level defense taught by Pop to Brown ...this Cavs team? Really the same team we swept, and Magic took 3 out of 4 will beat the Lakers or any WC camp?

Boston may have even beat Cavs ...with KG it would of been easy ...

The Cavs dominated Boston at home without KG....don't think they had a chance.

08-09 Hornets most overrated team of decade. 3rd highest odds to win le in preseason according to Vegas, couldn't even crack 50 wins and lost by ing 58 in the playoffs.

I think this can qualify but they did make it to the finals and were three wins away from winning it all. Some of these other teams lost in the first round and most didn't even make it to the finals. That Laker team was a complete hyped up mess, that's for sure.

At least they could have given Detroit a scare, unlike the 2004 Lakers.
2007 Golden State Warriors would be my take.

That Lakers team made it to the Finals, though. Plus, Malone was hurt. I still don't think they would have beaten Detroit, though.
