I'm all over this.
Woohoo! Go for Happy Hour and then go back between 8pm and 12 am (6/3) for a 10 ounces root beer float! I think you have to be in the car to get it so you can't have someone run out and get them for the whole house (like we do) but free is free.

I was never a big fan of mixing root beer and ice cream, it just didn't seem proper.

I've had one of these from ones before from Sonic when they gave them away free and they suck. The rootbeer was flat and the by the time they brought out the floats, the ice cream was all melted.
10 ounces? that's not worth the gas to get there.

You should try it, more like a frozen drink.
That's the idea. Get them in for free ice cream and they'll order something else from the menu to go with it.
That's beacause everyone and their mama are trying to get the free product, so they get slammed and don't have enough staff to fill orders properly, so everyone's scrambling and trying to just fill cups with ice cream and soda just to have them ready to go cuz they can't handle the business. Plus one ice cream machine during a busy night like that can go out too temporarily too.

10 oz ain't much but back in the day when you got a bottle of soda it was 10 oz. If not 6.5. Funny how times (and expectations) change.
in a 10 oz bottle of soda, you get 10 oz of soda.
in a 10 oz cup, you might get 6.5 oz of soda and a scoop of cream.
Sonic is just pure crap.....I dont care if I never go back.
