it was not a critic, i think it's a great film, I can watch it over and over but i can understand why some people would not like it.
I don't really consider myself to be much of a critic, as I'm pretty easily pleased when it comes to movies. That's what happens when you date into a black family and are forced to watch stupid ing tyler perry movies every other day.
I guess I just wasn't very captivated by it, as it seemed to be more about showing the extreme violence that goes on, and I honestly don't really like violent movies that much, unless it has a rather captivating story to it (such as Saving Private Ryan and The Departed). I guess my issue with Scarface is a matter of taste more than anything.

I know but I'm simple minded and most of the time just give a movie a thumbs up or down and don't get into all the stuff that Film students and others who know more about the techniques and stuff.
And I still love Bohemian Rhapsody...that is a classic. I don't get why Wayne's World would ruin it for me.![]()
It's kinda hard to watch a 26 yr old film and rate it accordinly considering the way movies are today ... it loses something.
This thread is going to turn religious, I just know it.![]()
I think its too late already

I think he means that blacks are always quoting it all the time.
Nice choice of wording there Viva. lol
i concur!
i don't normally hear anyone quote it, but then again i'm pretty hard of hearing. i've said this on here before. pretty much word for word. now i get grief.![]()
I wasn't saying anything. It;s true. You see Scarface posters in alot of urban cinema movies. Either the one when his face is full of coke, or the famous one where he is holding the AK47 I think.
I went to a white dude's pad a few weeks ago and there was a huge Scarface poster in his living room.
