I didn't want to start another Brontosaurus but ...

    http://www.sportnet.gr/report.aspx?id=190069

As expected, Olympiacos make a better offer to Bourousis and they are close of reaching an agreement.
Props to Bruno for the find. A translation basically says that Brontosaurus never really wanted to leave Greece and that his team decided to up their offer after the supposed offer from the Spurs.

Dude got what he wanted. More $$$ and he gets to stay home.

He should thank the Spurs for driving up his value.

What a surprise. Ranks up there with finding out that Manny and Arod were juicing.

Well, one less potential big to spend all or most of the MLE on.

    Gortat
    Gooden
    Sheed
    Dice

    Anyone else?

Personally, I believe Zaza Pachulia would be a great fit on the Spurs.

I think our best option is to trade for a big man. Mcdyess or Gortat is not enough to put us over the top.

The question now is: Will any really good intl. prospect decide to come to the NBA, let alone the Spurs if they can get more money, better expenses, lower taxes, and stay at home.

The thrill of playing in the NBA may not be enough of a lure to bring the blue chip guys over any more.

I think it's more that signs have shown that the Spurs are on the Decline. We just are not the team to be like we once were.

There was not a player in the league that didn't want to play with Timmy when he was in his prime.

I don't think he ever wanted to leave though...just used the Spurs interest to raise his value

Maybe theoretically, but the Spurs never really landed big FA's. Finley was one of the biggest. But they missed out on quite a few that they were after, even with Tim in his prime.

Same old story. If a player mentions publicly that he wants to come to the Spurs, that means he's not coming.
