It's easy to defend Obama's date night.
He's the president. He can take in a show every now and then. It probably costs several thousand dollars for him to go out for a jog. Please, keep a count of every cent spent on the president -- now and in the past -- because it is important to you.

(Chump move) There is a difference in price going to a local theater which he could have done for "date night" Instead he flys in planes,helicopters and limos for a evening on us, the tax payers.
Please find one time I defended the previous administration for spending money on a date night or a vacation Bush might have took. You can't but like alot of people here assume and call you names like "hypocrite" when they don't know Jack .

Somehow this particular incident seems like the worst of multiple worlds, seeing as how he's spending massive amounts of tax dollars AND increasing his carbon foot print AND being hypocritical about his green stances. Or, if you want to give him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he just didn't "think it all the way through" and didn't consider what kind of environmental impact his extravagent date would have. I wouldn't condone this from anyone, least of all a "green president".
For the record I am independent and am liberal and conservative on a number of issues. For one I care a of a lot about the environment, however I am fiscally conservative; I'm calling them as I see them. For anyone to make excuses about this is asinine to me, but hey, to each his own.
