I don't listen to NPR. It's liberalism at it's worst and I can't tolerate liberals much less Democrats and all their agendas even if it happens to be a sports piece.![]()

Huh? I'm a foreigner and I can't help but listen to NPR when I can.
If you wan't to get brainwashed, continue listening to NPR. It's nothing but a love fest for that idiot Barak "fecal matter" Obama.
Listen to Hannity or Rush. You'll be better for it. Oh, and by the way,.....root for the Lakers!![]()
You've gotta be kidding me. Hannity? Rush? Two of the hardest right-wingers that ever lived? I'd even take that nutcase Bill O'Reilly before either of those two.
You complain about agendas and brainwashing by NPR and then recommend Rush and Hannity?
The sooner those two (along with O'Reilly and his left-wing counterpart Olbermann) shut up, the better this nation will be.
No. Not kidding you. I am a right-winged, conservative war-hawk republican who just happens to root for a team located in Liberal-Central.....L.A. (I know, go figure). I am a major minority with my family back home in SoCal. They don't know any better.
Yeah, along with that Maddow character. Of course, behind closed doors they are probably all good friends. Emotional topics (and those that present them) bring in the highest ratings. And we all know Ratings=Money
Not complaining, just directing a lost soul.
This site is infested with Liberals, this I know, so knowing that I am outnumbered in here, we will leave the politics for another forum.
BTW...Obama stinks...![]()
I wouldn't necessarily say he stinks as I would say he's another in a long line of politicians who - either truthfully believe or knowingly deceive - that they can "change" things, only to come back to reality once in office that the country "of, for, and by" the people is a facade, and that this country is really run by corporations and money.
Jesus, talk about getting off topic. here's why I do not like the lakers.
1. Celebs, the team represents elitism/upper class.
2. Kobe iness, he's better now, but still can't stand him.
3. Gasol trade, I don't care about contracts, it was a trade that disrupted the league.
4. They've been in the limelight for too many years.
fair enough.
BTW....Obama stinks(Sorry, I can't help myself)
![]()
I here you.
Look, I am a huge Laker fan but it's just the way it's going to be way after you and I are gone. #4 on your list is the same rationale I use for my hatred for the Dallas Cowboys. Hey, I feel your pain.
The Lakers are synonymous with sneeky, back-door, "we're hiding something from you and we're not telling you", we rule, you are below us kind of things.
America loves to hate the Lakers.![]()
As did/does Bush, Cheney, Rumsfield, Rice, ... I think the only one of the lot who had any sense of dignity was Powell - and that may even have been a stretch.
BTW, to get back on topic, I hate the Lakers, too. Not Kobe, per se, but their coach and their whole persona. Due mostly to many of their fans. Also, because it brings the whole "parity in the NBA" claim into question as they have been there 15 of the last 30 Finals (including this one).
(for Bush, and Rice)
Your bulls eye with Powell. He's a closet Liberal. Fickled P.O.S. is what he is.
Lakers? I respect your hate. It's part of the game. Love em or hate em, you have to admit; without the Lakers in the NBA it would be one boring league.
Basketball owes much to the Lakers (and Boston for that matter) and I am not saying this based on "homer" instincts. Think about it. Your a Spurs fan right? I bet you that nothing gives you more satisfaction than watching your beloved team beat the Lakers right? Utah or Dallas is nothing compared to when the Spurs beat the Lakers (a rare thing indeed). My girlfriend's season is made if she sees her Spurs beat the Lakers. She eats it up.
Face it; without the Lakers you would never feel the euphoria that you do when you beat us.![]()
While it owes much to the NBA's success, one could also argue it owes much to the NBA's demise. Who wants to see the same team dominate year after year after year? Even if the Spurs were in the Finals every other year, I'd start to lose interest over time.
Don't read too much into my Laker disdain. I care about the Spurs beating many other teams the same as I do if they beat the Lakers.
Thanks for assing up my thread.
If you're going to bring such pathetic ignorance into a sports thread, maybe you should stop posting.
Im gonna disagree with you on a couple things:
1) NPR isnt as liberal as you make it out to be. I listen to it all the time and Im conservative and it doesnt piss me off. They just did a story how the white house is in a jam cuz they want to tax employee health care premiums but the Obama campaign spent millions campaigning against it after John McCain proposed it. Likewise they recently pointed out how little of the stimulus money has been spent.
2) Colin Powell is the man. He is everything Obama pretends to be.
I love NPR. I hate Faux news. That's all I have to say.
My insincerest apologies.....
When I saw NPR, I took the bait.
You had me at NPR......
Seriously though, sorry about that....![]()
Eh, maybe your right. I use to love Powell. Maybe I need to revist this.
I just don't like my presidents Socialistic. That's all
