Rashard Lewis' contract is still re ed, most particularly because Orlando got in a bidding war with themselves. There was no other team even in the same zip code to the contract offer they ended up giving Rashard. They likely could have had Lewis at a contract similar to what Elton Brand or Baron Davis signed last summer, around $15 million a year. They ended up paying him another $35-40 million they didn't need to pay him. It's still a re ed contract.
Well offcourse it is still a bloated contract... But at least he is delivering the goods on the biggest stage.
Imagine how his contract would look if he played badly or Orlando went out in the first round. It would be epic...
Not just how much money they will be paying him but If I'm not wrong his contract is long as
just because a guy is playing well doesn't mean his contract isn't re ed. , A-Rod is a great player, but his contract is stupid and basically ruined baseball

A role player like Rashard Lewis should never have a $100+ million contract. $50-$60 million is right for a guy like him.

That contract looks pretty re ed right now doesn't it? That's a superstar contract and Lewis going 2-10 with 6pts in 46 minutes of action, and logging the worst +/- ratio of anyone on the team (-13).. that is unacceptable IMO.
If he's making half that salary its still practically unacceptable.
I forgot how balls to the wall Odom was last night.
