This was a typical LA championship turning point kind of game.

    Ariza, Fisher.....super clutch 3's.
I don't want to hear any Laker fan talk good about Fisher. A lot of you threw him under the bus, said he was the biggest piece of around and you had no chance of winning if he was getting minutes.

This was a typical LA championship turning point kind of game.

Opponent miss a lot of FT, questionable calls, missed rebounds .... lead to Ariz, Fisher hitting 3's that should have put them still down 1

The only game they've won in this series, Jameer got garbage minutes, and Alston who quarterbacked them through the entire EC playoff bracket, got the majority of the run.

There's a correlation there. A strong one. But Stan's got a hardon for Jameer like Pop does for Finley. So LA's going to win it.
    Yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyup

What did y'all want Gasol to do? Game's not over; he wasn't trying to show Orlando up with that last dunk, he was getting two more points and got pushed in the back. I'd be pissed too getting fouled like that.
i like Pietrus, but that was a cheap foul on his part. Gasol had every right to be pissed.

Well, time to start watching baseball.

    Ugh...
The Rays pounded the Angels 11-1 tonight, so it wasn't a total loss.

sons none of us should be getting this worked up over this crap (myself included) .... keep in mind that the NBA is sports ENTERTAINMENT just like the WWE .... the script has been written for many weeks now. sure they make a few changes here and there, but the Lakers have been written in to win the moment the Cavs got knocked out.

Missed FTs, too many TOs, too much Jameer.

    Don't blame refs or anything.

I don't have a problem if Pietrus fouls Gasol there. But, he didn't just foul him. He didn't just push him in the back. He had two closed fists and pounded him with both in the back while Gasol was up in the air. Even then, I wouldn't have a huge, huge problem with it. But, then Pietrus talked after it.

Yes, Gasol is a . But, it's more than understandable why he was upset at the foul.
He it's OK that Gasol got mad, but Gasol did not have to dunk the ball like that. I really think petrius felt the game had slipped away and then he sees Gasol trying to dunk it home and rub it right in. Obviously Mickael didn't like that and didn't want to let Gason punk his team. It was not a good play on the part of either player, but Gasol instigated it.

They had a 5 point lead all he had to do was pull back and pass or hold to run out the clock. The only thing the Magic could do is foul and he gets two free throws anyway.

Peituis obviously knew the game had slipped away, what do you want him to do???? Let Gasol punk them and rub in it. I can understand how Peitrius felt.
It's the NBA Finals, not 10 year and under youth league basketball. It was a 5 point lead, not a 25 lead blowout. It would have been better for Gasol to pull the ball out, but it wasn't "rubbing it in" for him to go for a final bucket.

well it's the Lakers. Sasha did it against the Spurs last year.
Powell did it Game 1 of the Finals.
    Now Gasol.

Gasol should never have dunked that ball. He could have pulled it back out.
    no doubt man.

if he wasnt such an asshole he would have ran to the other end of the court and dunked it in for orlando, but what does he do????!!!!!!

dunk it in his own goal like an ass!!!!!!!!

    very rude indeed

and what do we all have to see now because of it??????????

It's the NBA Finals. If you're more worried about the other team "rubbing it in" than winning the series, you aren't in the right mind frame.

Oh well - no more basketball for me until the new season starts. There is no way I'm watching the friggin Fakers win a championship. Maybe they'll all get serious food poisoning before Sunday and then their plane can crash on the way back to LA. I don't want anybody to die, just break a few legs and arms.

    How does that help them

Facts are facts, when Rafer gets most of the minutes, Magic played much better in the Finals
Helps them for a couple of minutes that is, I agree it's really bad long run.

That's the problem, Stan gets a couple good minutes then like an idiot he just keeps riding Jameer. I knew in OT no way would Rafer get in and that just screwed them.

That wasn't about rubbing it in. That was Gasol going for the jugular, knowing there is no way possible for Orlando to hit a shot, get a steal, hit a shot, get a steal, and hit another shot.

son exactly ... Gasol deserved to have his teeth knocked down his throat and left unconscious on the ground for that.... his phony "tough guy" at ude is really hilarious to watch. he wouldn't last a day in one of the hoods most NBA players grew up in. Gasol = pussy

What a bunch of choking es the Magic are. At 87-82 they had the game and threw it away, did the same in game 2. Very disappointing.
yep. i turned to my girlfriend and said "Game. Magic win." they were up by 5 with like 30 seconds to go. then they just ed it away.
