Helps them for a couple of minutes that is, I agree it's really bad long run.

That's the problem, Stan gets a couple good minutes then like an idiot he just keeps riding Jameer. I knew in OT no way would Rafer get in and that just screwed them.
    Yup

And anyway, as much as SVG is reponsible for this loss, yo have to credit the Lakers for at least taking advantage of it; they smelled blood

Most people see the flashy dunks in transition and the big 3s from way downtown, but the #1 key to winning or losing a playoff game is FREE THROWS. The Lakers lost Game 3 because of MISSED FREE THROWS. The Magic lost Game 4 because of MISSED FREE THROWS. It's quite simple, really.

It's the NBA Finals, not 10 year and under youth league basketball. It was a 5 point lead, not a 25 lead blowout. It would have been better for Gasol to pull the ball out, but it wasn't "rubbing it in" for him to go for a final bucket.
There was two seconds left and no one on that half of the court except Pietrus. Pau could have dribbled out to the three point line and called it a night.

But that's the type of move Pau has gone to ever since he got to LA when they were winning series. Glad someone called his ass on it.

It's the NBA Finals. If you're more worried about the other team "rubbing it in" than winning the series, you aren't in the right mind frame.
It's not like is was predetermined that he was going to hit him like that. You must be the type that likes it up the ass. Petrius didn't want any of that .

The only game they've won in this series, Jameer got garbage minutes, and Alston who quarterbacked them through the entire EC playoff bracket, got the majority of the run.

There's a correlation there. A strong one. But Stan's got a hardon for Jameer like Pop does for Finley. So LA's going to win it.
I agree. It hurts the team when Stan keeps riding him over Rafer. Jameer plays good for like a couple of minutes, but then it goes down hill. Stan's gotta stop trying to give him major minutes.

A couple of spot minutes, sure, but not 26 minutes. Rafer only got 27 minutes.

I think it more bothers me that the ABC clowns brushed off Kobe's elbow like it wasn't a big deal. That's a charge, period.

But this game was lost on the backs of the Orlando FT shooting and Stan Van Gundy's crush on Jameer Nelson.

Does not look good for Pietrus, they're already questioning the play on ESPN now and talking possible suspension.

well it's the Lakers. Sasha did it against the Spurs last year.
Powell did it Game 1 of the Finals.
    Now Gasol.
That got Vujacic shooting the three at the buzzer in a game that was over with no one even trying to defend him was punk-ass. Gasol sealing the win by making it a three-possession game after they fought like dogs to make a monster comeback is the only play that made sense there.

    no doubt man.

If he wasnt such an asshole he would have ran to the other end of the court and dunked it in for orlando, but what does he do????!!!!!!

Dunk it in his own goal like an ass!!!!!!!!

    very rude indeed

and what do we all have to see now because of it??????????

The Magic were up 5 with 11 seconds left and then they let Kobe score and then Howard misses both freethrows and then Fisher is left open to knock down the 3 - game over.

What exactly is your point????? lol you didn't win the game or the Championship because of that dunk. You fail. You had that before that play, hence why it was unnecessary to dunk the ball.

Seriously though, Jameer was a up for much of the fourth and all of OT. The announcers gave him love for hitting Dwight on two wide open looks. Big whoop.

Outside of that he got torched defensively had three turnovers, and went brain dead defending the one guy on the court not named Kobe that they needed to worry about.

If I were Rafter, if I were any of those other guys (DH, Rashard, Hedo, etc.), I'd punch Van Gundy in the ing groin for that .

Howard's miss freethrows and Jameer letting fisher shoot a uncontested 3 lol. JVG was right. WTF is Jameer doing not bodying up on Fisher and forcing him to drive? Assuming its not big deal to miss key freethrows in crunch time and assuming it is no big deal letting someone get an uncontested 3 off in the final seconds = Magic 2nd place finishers lol

Please stop this whining about Gasol's dunk.

LA was up 5, not 25. This is the NBA Finals, not a youth rec league. Gasol had every right to make that dunk and put the game completely out of reach. If you don't like it, you're a pussy ass . Period.

I hate people who cry about those who run up the score. that. You don't like the other team rubbing it in, play some ing defense.

Gasol ran to the basket to seal the W without looking back. I ing hate Gasol and the Lakers, but he made the right play.

Of course, he plays defense on Kobe. They don't have LeBron's ass to kiss, so it's Kobe on deck.

I'm sure they're calling out Kobe's elbow though, right?

The idiotic thing is Fisher should have never been at that point. As soon as he got three feet past half court, they should have taken the foul.

They were both wrong in their actions, but like I said Gasol instigated it. It could have easily been avoided.

Anyone remember Manu is game 7 against the Pistons when he had a wide open fast break dunk and pulled the ball back out. I guess not.

Hmmm - how interesting would that be if they suspended both Kobe and Pietrus for game 5? But of course that's just wishful thinking - they'll never suspend Kobe in the finals.
