The Jazz let him out of his contract. He was actually doing them a favor. He was playing SG on that team.
you guys make me puke.

He gave up millions of dollars
as soon as Fisher figured dat Kobe bout to win a ring He joined him
Fisher injected cancer in his daughter's eye.
That's a great Gif, was hoping I'd get it.
Never seen Fish with the "We GOT this" look on his face.
You get that from CL?
one of the two laker sites. lakersground or CL. i dont remember
how did he get here?
Lesse....
All you have to do is look it up.

look at that mug, its priceless. Also check out the blonde in the back. She knows it over.
I think the blonde is Doris Burke. She was sitting behind the basket when I caught a glimpse of her looking bored out of her mind while the Orlando fans were excited over an And-1 by Pietrus.
Just got home from work. Haven't watched a lick of the game but saw some highlights on sportscenter. One thing caught my eye immediately... Jameer Nelson playing in the final seconds of the game when Orlando is up 3 and you have to absolutely deny the 3pt shot. Why not somebody bigger who can at least get a hand up past his shoulder? Dumb coaching move by Stan there.
Let's give Derek "Roid-Rage" Fisher some credit however... for his big shots tonight. He's clutch when it counts.

Also on one of the sportscenter highlights I saw a magic player get his nose flattened and knocked to the floor by Kobe elbow... and no offensive foul called.
I'm guessing if they didn't call that a foul the lakers must have gotten away with a ton of b.s. calls as per the usual.

He cheated on the Jazz about his daughter's diseases, begging towards the Jazz operators for a buy-out. the Jazz turned kind-hearted for one second somehow and gave some mercy to that veteran guard, considering this veteran would stay away from basketball for at least one season to spend an entire year taking care of his dying daughter, but this left-hander signed with Lakers immediately after getting released from Jazz. Any team doing such a trade should have been punished harshly by the league, but the LA lakers can always get the league's leniency even after committing some robberies like the Gasol one.
Fisher didn't get a buy out. He left a bigger contract with the Jazz on the table. Then he signed with the Lakers for less.
Laker fans been bashing Fisher through the whole playoffs. Now what you think?
Wow, what a lowlife s bag Fisher is ... if this is true.
LMAO. Any story made as horrible as you can makes you look bad but 99% of that post is bull .

Jazz fans seem to think Fisher was phony about the whole reason. Here's excerpts from this page (the intelligent sounding ones)
The best city for a specialist to treat Tatum was New York, not L.A. So why not play for the Knicks? Then I heard that N.Y wasn't interested in him. Are they crazy, they suck?
But the best reason I've heard about why Utah fans feel justified in booing Fisher is this: If Derek is that concerned with his daughter's health, why didn't he just take a year or two off? It's not like he needs the money or anything. Derek doesn't fit the profile of the stupid NBA player that blows all of his money on drugs, bling, or ho's. So if he took some time off, he could really be there for her at every turn. He can't do that playing 40 games on the road! And remember, the Jazz traded someone to get him, and then they just let him out of his contract, so they ended up losing ground. I think the Jazz organization did the honorable thing (and the right thing). Who didn't feel bad for Derek? But then, he goes out and rejoins the much hated Lakers, when L.A. wasn't even the best city to treat Tatum's condition.
He makes 5 MILLION a year, but couldn't get medical treatment for his daughter in Salt Lake? I'm not a hater or jealous but when I heard his reason for going to LA I thought it was BS. The best treatment for what his daughter has is actually in Birmingham, not LA. Utah was cool to let him go but I think it was all a crock. He was traded to a place he didn't want to be, plus I read that his daughter is still being treated in NY. If she was being treated in NY and they felt that NY was the best place for her why not sign with the Nets or Knicks?
Yeah, the Huntsman Cancer Ins ute truly is one of the best cancer treatment and research facilities on the planet. I think if he uses medical reasons as a reason to move back he's full of crap. He's a good player and I support moving to LA for family reasons, but "cancer treatment" is b.s. Like lightwalker3 said, people move TO SLC for cancer treatment. I've heard that from many many other people as well. I personally didn't boo him but I don't blame those who did.
Fisher had been flying to NYC for treatment, some of the best cancer hospitals and research centers in the world are in Utah. Then he signs with LA a day or 2 after Utah released him. Sounds Fishy, no pun intended. He could've gotten great care if not better in Utah. Most Jazz fans are just pissed that he's not on the team, because I am, I'd rather have him playing for the Jazz than against them, he's a stud on the court. And we boo him cause we boo all Lakers. End of story.
Yeah I agree Fisher has been getting bashed throughout the playoffs by his own Laker fans lol. This is the same dude that hit .4. He's one of those guys you love to hate if he's not on your team because just when you think he should be a nonfactor in these big games he somehow always finds a way to hit important shots. Thats what made him so annoying to me when he played the Spurs. I've seen him do it to other teams also just like he did last night.
I don't think anyone is disputing his talent for big shot making. The thread is about how (and why) he was dealt to the lakers and the cir stances surrounding it.
fisher is a bag... thats why he is on the lakers because he fits in with all the laker bags so well.
no sense crying over spilt milk...get over it you whiny es
I dont get why anyone is complaining about this anyway, its not like Derek Fisher is the one who put the Lakers over the top. Fisher is garbage, he has been pure garbage all playoffs up until the last 10 minutes of game 4. They can have Fisher and Gasol, who cares. They are still overrated in my book. The Rockets would have taken them out of these playoffs if they werent so damn injury prone. Damn Rockets and their injuries.
