shut up with this trade manu . are you guys for real? ginobili is the perfect icon for san antonio. hes as latino as you can get for the most latino city in the u.s. everyone in their right mind knows he will not get traded. he wants and the rest of the organization wants him to retire a spur. trading manu out of sa is like trading yao out of htown, its not gonna happen because of the cultural aspect and marketing ability.

Well I wanted to keep him because he's a good player, but I'll go with that too.

the fact that he is Latino honestly means absolutely nothing to me. Nothing oncesoever.

If his health is an issue this season, we need to just let his contract expire. Otherwise, we shop him for a big time offer and hope for solid health in 2010.

Because he IS latino is the reason why Parker made the statement that he's "god" in San Antonio..

Fabricio Oberto speaks spanish, too, but isn't a "god" in San Antonio.

Manu's beloved in San Antonio because he's a great player with a dynamic game; that he speaks spanish and has a hispanic background adds to it. But if Manu couldn't play, I suspect that few would care that he's a native spanish speaker.

"oncesoever" That's the most emphatic use of "oncesoever" I've ever seen. In fact, it's the only usage I've seen of "oncesoever".

Na, We should keep him because he has proven to us that he is a Champ! People get hurt, some longer than others, and Manu played hurt in the 2008 Conf. Finals and re-injured himself in the Olympics, so yea he has been hurt for longer than what us fans wanted him to. But to actually think that the he can be replaced by any body other than Lebron, Wade, Carmelo or Arenas, then your not basketball Savvy partner! Him at 100% healthy, can lift our Spurs to Victory!!!

They need to keep Manu. He's a good player and he'll be really useful in acclimating Scola to the team when the Spurs bring him over.

Considering he is going to have a long time to recover from this injury plagued season, I believe he will work wonders next season. If he performs, keep him. If not, dangling him in front of other teams might light a fire under him if it already hasn't.

Light a fire under Ginobili? He went from his most productive season and 6th Man of the Year to injured. The only reason Manu didn't perform last year is injury. Why would Ginobili, of all people, need a fire lit under him?
