    I don't usually pay attention in the off season but I'm anxious to see what the spurs do this year. When do the trades, free agent signings, etc. start happening?

    The NBA Draft is on June 25 (my Birthday), you should see a few trades go down on that day or the next, swapping picks/players. (I think we traded our 09 pick for Kurt Thomas.) Teams can start talking with free agents after July 1st, that's the beginning of the Free Agency Moratorium. They can officially start signing guys after July 7, 2009.http://www.nba.com/news/july_fa_moratorium.html

    After the first month the top guys will probably be gone.

    Thanks for that very informative post. I knew there was a moratorium on signing free agents but I was not sure when it was. Personally I don't expect San Antonio to make any huge splashes this off season but improve somehow they must.
