Should a series changing game-ending strategy that would ensure a Lakers loss in next years Finals occur, have the Lakers taken steps to ensure another bonehead/fixed strategy takes place?
Do they have enough cap space/buy out money to ensure?
not mad..just disappointed that we have to hear you and DrHouse for the next year talking about your team that had the easiest road to the le I've ever seen.
That road belongs to the 2007 Spurs, nice try though.
So 2009 was easier than 2008?
Yeah, because the Jazz, Rockets, Nuggets, and Magic all laid down and were accepting of their fates as fodder for the Lakers' run to the le. The Lakers didn't have a preordained list of opponents they would rather face in the playoffs, they did what any other team would hope to do in any cir stance, they beat the teams that they were scheduled to play. Granted, there were injuries involved, but c'mon what's next? Saying that Adam Morrison secretly took a crowbar to Yao Ming's foot or did a secret labotomy to Stan Van Gundy with a plastic spork?
Much props to your avatar though, Dun. That will NEVER get old...![]()
LMAO..let's see here...the Utah Jazz...a injury laden Rockets team (that still almost beat you), the Nuggets, and a really young and streaky Magic team.
Lets see now...in 2007...first round, Spurs dominate a decent Nuggets team in 5..beat a 61 win dominate 2nd seed Suns team in 6, a STRONG Jazz team in 5, and an athletic Cavs team that was shooting out of their minds in a sweep...
Um...the Celtics won in 2008...not the Lakers...so obviously it was easier for you, since you actually succeeded this year.
lol, you're so biased in your assessment it's not even worth arguing. You win, Spurs had a tough road the Lakers an easy one.
Not saying the Spurs had an extremely tough road in 07...just tougher than LA this year.
Round 1 - The Nuggets weren't decent, they got swept by the Lakers with the same team.
Round 2 - Spurs would've lost the series if Amare/Boris didn't get suspended. Everyone knows it.
Round 3 - lol "STRONG Jazz team", that team was an upstart team beating a 2man Rockets team in the 1st round in 7 games, and the Golden State Warriors.
Finals - you know you're stretching to compliment a Finals team when you call them "Athletic". They had Lebron (not as good as his current form), no experience, no offense, and a decent defense. That Cavs team isn't even in the same league as the 2009 Orlando Magic, and that's saying something.
^^Forget the le..wtf is the OP trying to say in the first post?
He's trying to say the Lakers paid off Jameer and SVG. It makes a lot of sense.
^^ Oh.....well we always do that. Infact we paid off the Spurs in the first round to lose to Dallas so they can lose to Denver...etc...etc.
Damn, took them long enough to find out.
