Trevor Has Suitors: The Lakers faithful saw a great series out of Trevor Ariza, who really rose to the challenge both offensively and defensively last night. League sources pointed to Trevor's pending free agency as the biggest problem for the Lakers saying that the Portland Trail Blazers are said to have a lot of interest in Ariza and could be the mechanism to drive up his price tag. Ariza told HOOPSWORLD this week that staying in L.A. was his top priority and that playing with Kobe Bryant meant a lot to him so it will be interesting to see how heavily the Blazers pursue Trevor.

Why would the blazers want another 2/3? They already have like 12 average wing players on their roster.

I don't think we have any real interest in Ariza. However, we would do this just to drive his price tag up.

Portland lives to block other teams. When the Spurs went after Bowen in 2002 they offered him a deal to basically sit him on the bench. Then with Bonzi Wells and Steve Smith they made a big money offer to take Derek Anderson from the Spurs (actually, thanks for that one, head Paul Allen ).

Don't forget they stole Brandon Roy from the Rox, I guess they were still bitter from the Hakeem pick

Like I said before, there are going to be a handful of teams who are going to offer Odom AND Ariza crazy money and I wouldnt be surprised if one or even both of them left. Money talks....

lol, in this economy, with the best FA class ever next year I'd LMAO if the clubs that can actually offer big money do and up next year on Ariza and Odom. I promise you at least one will stay.

Too bad the Blazers can't really drive the price tag up too much because the Grizzlies and Darius Miles effed with them first.

Say alot for a team that tries to mess up other teams rather than trying to do what's best for their team.

No one likes that face, that was probably the main and only reason the Magic shipped him to LA for a trashy player even though both two teams knew Ariza is much more useful than Cook can ever be.

Plus, it makes little sense to put it as "Ariza will mostly likely stay a Laker." I'm not being grammar police but the idiotic posters are really too annoying for us to stand with the re ed way they talk.

What is there to hate about Ariza other then him wearing a Laker uni???? Cause he got in Hedo's face? I think Ariza is a very likable guy, he always hustles, plays hard and stays under control. And clearly cares about getting better as his jumper shows.
