Real Laker fans (usually native SoCal'ers) hate the Cowboys. Most of them that is (about 95%).

The Cowboy fans I know are native Texans who for some reason can't find it in their hearts to root for Texas NBA teams. Wierd if you ask me but I know these people nonetheless.

The hardcore fans of the Lakers root for all things Cali, specifically SoCal sports. Dodgers, Angels, Raiders (NFL), Trojan football, UCLA B-BALL etc.
I am not saying non-native Californians aren't Laker fans but at least in my opnion loving the Lakers is something that's a given if your a guy born and raised in L.A. and surrounding southland.

...........assholes. They are y, and have a chip on their shoulders personality wise. I have lots of friends that root for other teams, but they are usually cool. The friends that like the Lakers are just jerks when it comes to things. I actually find this to be true with Lakers fans in general...........at least here in San Antonio. I do know there are some cool LA fans, but I havent seen many of em. Its almost like there is a thug following. Does anyone else feel this way?

Thing is, I don't meet any Lakers fans, or at least any people who are willing to admit they are Lakers fans, when the Lakers aren't doing well. So, I wouldn't know to be honest.

I respect the game of basketball. During the playoffs in the NBA there will be certain teams I like to root for and teams I'd like to see lose. Although I am a Bulls fan, I enjoy other NBA teams, I respect the Spurs. The Lakers I don't mind, but I have to agree some of their fans are overly y a++holes. They show teams respect when they lose but when they win, it's f*ckyou, your team s*cks we have Kobe. That is what somewhat bothers me about Lakers fans, Kobe creates this homerism.

I don't care if you hate the fans or not. I'm still rooting for the Lakers all the way till I die. I think Kobe has a couple years to go but Its going to come to an end someday. I hope that another player takes his spot. So far every decade, with the exception of the MJ era, they have gotten a player or two to take them to the promise land. Yeah im pretty sure some so called Laker fans here in San Antonio are going to fade back into spurs fans if they start loosing, but not me!!!

You are correct on most counts concerning native So Cal's except for a couple depending on the age.

It's Lakers, Dodgers, Kings, USC football, UCLA BBall. The Angels dont play baseball, they play in that OTHER league that doesnt even follow the rules. Most old school natives were Ram fans. The Raiders whe a transplant for a few years, nothing more. And that is why we despise the South Americas Team (Cowboys) because they sent the Rams packing quite often in the playoffs.
