can they drop that puppet please
He probably got paid alot of money to wear the puppet ring shirt.
Fisher was wearing that shirt too on the Bus
Guess people missed Paul Pierce wearing a different shirt than everyone else last year.
i'm sure he's getting royalties. the kobe fanboys i spoke to were all looking for it online right after the parade
well kobe raped a white girl so he doesnt deserve it like pierce
Wow. He was wearing a different shirt. Who gives a ? Some of you really need to get a life.

http://basketbawful.blogspot.com/200...able-nike.htmlUpdate, Part 3! From Wild Yams: "For what it's worth, the announcing crew who covered the parade yesterday for Fox Sports West (including Rick Fox and Norm Nixon) were saying that when the players all gathered in Staples Center before coming out to board the buses, there were corporate sponsors down there giving them shirts to wear for the parade (just like the NBA passes out shirts and hats at the championship celebration). That's why Kobe had a white shirt on under the puppet hand one, it's why Fisher had the same shirt Kobe did, and it's why every other Laker was either wearing a
Nike/KB24 "Carpe Diem" champagne cork shirt or a 2009 Champions "caricature" shirt."
2nd - Remember this?
MJ wearing the flag to cover up the (Reebok?) logo on the warmup because it wasn't Nike.
Now - look at the shirt some of the team wore with the pic of everyone - it was by addidas.
3rd - Kobe wasn't the only one wearing a different shirt
4th - He should have wore this shirt anyway.

Old enough to party.
VivaPopovich is the newest on this board. He's basically a Spurscenter clone.
Kobe about himself. Kobe's an egomaniac. This is nothing new. We already knew that about him. But, the t-shirt doesn't prove anything. 2Cleva basically broke it down as well as you can. Kobe haters hanging on every last thing to hate on him. Before the Kobe haters would claim that they'd stop bashing Kobe once he won a le without Shaq. He did it, and he still gets hated on. Kobe does plenty of stuff to make fun of, but this is stupid.
p.s. And, I like the fact that this was on a Celtics fan site, and one of the responses showed Paul Pierce from last year's Boston parade in a Nike "Truth" shirt.
I'm not a Kobe fan per se but I respect the player and his talent. And I liked his shirt.
I thought I read in the paper that Nike created that shirt for him and isn't he a Nike client? The shirts the other players wore were made by adidas so I wonder if that has anything to do with it?
And I agree....this thread is much adieu about nothing!
Duncan wore a different shirt than the team in the '05 celebration, for the same reason. The NBA shirts weren't made by adidas then, and he's with adidas. Players wear their sponsers, it's part of the endorsement.
See at least this spurs fan gets it.
Just drop it man!!!! It's just a damn shirt. I wouldn't doubt if nike gave him briefs with four rings on it.
Well said. There's absolutely nothing wrong with Jordan, Duncan and Kobe wearing something to cover up those other corporate logos.
As much as it is about the team we root for, the NBA and its players are also a billion dollar business powered by fans AND sponsors.
That shirt fiasco is nothing. Have you seen this?
If he's such a team player then why does he insist on having his name on the jersey? What a punk.
